🎾 A quick Garforth Padel update.

We’ve had quite a few messages asking how things are progressing, so we wanted to give you a quick update.

The good news is everything is still moving forward 🙌

It’s just taking a little longer than we originally hoped as we continue working through the planning process and the various surveys and reports required.

There’s still plenty happening behind the scenes and we’re working hard to keep things progressing as quickly as possible.

We really appreciate everyone who has messaged, followed the page and supported the project so far.

Hopefully we’ll have some more positive news to share soon! 🎾

A little update on the padel project… 👇

It’s been a while since our last update, so I thought I’d let everyone know where we’re up to.

The planning application has now successfully made it through the consultation phase, which is a really positive milestone.

We’re now at the stage where we’re waiting for Leeds City Council to review the application and make their decision.

Like a lot of these projects, there’s plenty of waiting involved, and whilst it might seem quiet from the outside, there’s still plenty happening behind the scenes as we prepare for the next steps.

I know a lot of you have been asking when the courts will be opening, and we genuinely appreciate the support and excitement around the project. We’re just as eager to get things moving.

As soon as we have any news, good or bad, I’ll make sure to share it with everyone.

One of the reasons padel is the fastest-growing sport in the world is simple…

Almost anyone can play it. It has no age limit! 🌍🎾

You don’t need years of coaching.
You don’t need elite fitness.
You don’t need to have played racket sports before.

Whether you’re 18 or 80, padel is easy to pick up, social from day one, and just competitive enough to keep you coming back for more.

The doubles format, smaller court and use of the glass mean rallies last longer and beginners can enjoy a good game much quicker than many other sports.

The growth has been incredible.

Over 860,000 people played padel in Britain during 2025, with millions more interested in giving it a go.

Globally, there are now more than 35 million players and the sport continues to expand across new countries every year.

But statistics only tell part of the story.

What we see every day is people of all ages enjoying sport, meeting new people, getting active and having a laugh.

That’s what makes padel special.

A sport you can genuinely play for life.

We’re hoping to bring this to Garforth, if we can get planning permission through.

A new sport. A new community. Right here in Garforth.

Padel is one of the fastest growing sports in the world and its popularity across the UK continues to soar. More people than ever are discovering a sport that is fun, social and suitable for all ages and abilities.

We’re hoping to bring four brand new padel courts to Garforth, creating a fantastic new facility for local residents, families and sports enthusiasts.

The proposed courts would provide a new way for people to stay active, meet friends and enjoy outdoor sport right here in the local community.

We’re excited to share that our plans for Garforth Padel have been featured in The Business Desk.

Over the past few months, we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to bring padel to Garforth, and it’s great to see the project starting to gain momentum.

Our proposal is for four outdoor padel courts at Garforth Garden Centre, creating a welcoming facility where people of all ages and abilities can be active, socialise and enjoy one of the fastest-growing sports in the world.

The planning application is now live and open for public comments, and we’ve already received some encouraging feedback from local residents. We’re very grateful to everyone who has taken the time to engage with the proposal so far.

We’re excited to share that the planning application for Garforth Padel has now been submitted and is available to view.

Our vision is to create a new outdoor sporting facility for the local community, bringing one of the world’s fastest-growing sports to Garforth while working alongside the existing landscape and natural surroundings.

We’ve already received a number of supportive comments and are grateful for the encouragement we’ve had so far.
