๐ ACTIVE MUMS WITH FIT&NESS โ THE BASICS ๐
Board 2 of 8: Pelvic Floor Basics
Letโs talk about something that every new mum should know a little more about โ your pelvic floor! ๐
It might not be the most glamorous fitness topic ๐, but your pelvic floor plays an important role in your body, and pregnancy and giving birth can put it under extra strain.
The good news? Pelvic floor exercises can help strengthen these important muscles, and theyโre something you can gradually make part of your everyday routine.
This weekโs board explains what your pelvic floor helps with, some simple things to remember and, importantly, when itโs worth speaking to a health professional if something doesnโt feel right.
And ladies โ bladder leakage, heaviness, pain or other pelvic floor symptoms arenโt something you need to feel embarrassed about or simply put up with. Please ask for help if youโre concerned. ๐
๐ Save this board for later.
๐ Share it with another mum โ she might really appreciate you sending it.
