🍀 RINCE Senior World Championships 🍀

What a fab day we had yesterday 💚 So lovely seeing all the adult dancers in one room and being with friends all day!

I'm so proud of these gals, despite 3/4 of us being in the middle of house moves, managing jobs, kids, and general life, everyone put their best energy into the day and all have their own accomplishments to take home with them 🎉

🍀 Beginner Classes in Gateshead 🍀

We have a few spaces remaining for our beginner 3+ classes starting 16th September!

A great time of year to start a new hobby, whether you're 3 or 13 👯

Some of the things our dancers learn
🍀 teamwork: we practise group dances every class, combining our new steps with learning how to work together
🍀 rhythm building: clap, stamp, and dance to different songs & learn how to count to different music
🍀 confidence: learning what we're capable of doing with lessons that go beyond dance 💚
🍀 goal setting: whether you're here for fun, want to work towards exams, or perform in the community, we have a dance booklet with achievements for every dancer ✨

Our main goal is fun here so while we absolutely do not expect practise outside of class, we have online tutorials of all our dances so you can follow along at home if you'd like 💚

🍀 CNRG Worlds 🍀

Phew we're finally getting our energy back! A big congrats to Helen and Derianna who danced at CNRG Worlds this year ✨

I'm so incredibly proud of Helen, after a tough injury, working abroad, and some much needed rest, she learnt not only her inter dances, but her prelim ones too for an extra challenge! She shone for her first time dancing in inter and prelim, and came away with 4th in both amongst some beautiful dancers 🏆

Derianna came away with 4th in U30 Open, dancing in an incredibly talented group and also with an injury from the day! (what are we like?!)

As always the friendships formed in the dance community really made the weekend for us, it's so lovely seeing the support and celebrations for each other and we can't wait to see you all again soon 💚

🍀 Throwback Thursday 🍀

We absolutely love dancing at weddings, and it's even more special when it's for one of our own dancers 💚 This one's from 2 years ago for our Claire, before costume changes, a summer of show prep, and kids! We got the whole family and guests up to dance to celebrate an incredibly special day ✨

We've danced all over the North East for weddings, from Darlington to Berwick! Whether it's a surprise performance for your guests, a choreographed dance just for you and your partner, or a planned ceili, we can't wait to be a part of more celebrations 💚

🍀 Throwback Thursday 🍀

How has it almost been a year since Finding Home premiered at Newcastle Fringe?!

Our dancers had an amazing time working on this show, and we can't wait for Finding Home 2.0 👀

Finding Home followed Fiadh, a late twenties Northern gal discovering Irish Dance for the first time, diving into classes, pub ceilis, performances, and her journey into finding where she belonged 💚

Finding Home was open to all our dancers who had some extra time and wanted to audition for the show! Everyone who auditioned had a part, from our beginners to advanced dancers 💚

🍀 Irish Dance Summer Sessions for Under 18s 🍀

We're excited to share the breakdown of our summer sessions! Each Wednesday in August at 5:30pm you or your child can learn a different a style of Irish Dance, whether they're an absolute beginner or have some dance experience

We'll be taking a look at
🍀 ceilis - traditional group dances using beginner steps
🍀 performance - feel like Michael Flatley on the big stage
🍀 feis - competition style solo steps to find your own style
🍀 festival - a style originally from Northern Ireland, sometimes described as 'folk ballet'

Spots are limited so pop us a message to book - you can book weekly or for the whole month!

These sessions are for ages 4-17, and each dancer will have steps taught to their learning pace and ability, if you have accomodations please pop us a message and we'll adjust teaching accordingly

All sessions are at St James and St Bede Church in Gateshead, with free parking outside and a short walk from Gateshead Stadium metro. We have our own professional dance floor, a kitchen to refill water bottles, and boys and girls toilets to get changed in

🍀 Comic Comp Virtual Championships 🍀

🍀 Throwback Thursday 🍀

We've been around for a wee bit now, so every Thursday we'll take a look at some of the fun things we've been up to over the years!

To start off here's a look at our first term in 2022! Back when we started we were a small community and had one ceili class a week with no idea what the years would hold 💚 I was fresh out of uni and wanted to share the joy of dancing in a group with no pressure to be anything other than yourself, just dance, fun, and maybe a bit of exercise!
