The lake fished quite even across all pegs with1 carp separating 3rd,4th and 5th.

Splodgers summer league.
Bowes lake.

1st John Dryden 159lb 4oz peg 14.
Method across and pole down the edge.

2nd Ethan Bradley 153lb 2oz peg 20.
Pole down the edges and method to island.

3rd well.......it "should" have been Mark Smith had he not gone over 60lb in one net and lost the lot and just over in another losing 61lb 11oz, so instead of a close 151lb 11oz he ended up nowhere with 89lb from peg 24!!! Silly Billy!!

Third then defaulted to Scott Williams with 146lb 14oz from peg 40 on method to reeds/rope and pole down the edge.

4th Dean Appleby 132lb 1oz peg 4 mostly on the pole.

There may be an open match this sunday on Lookout.
There is a club booking on Bowes next MONDAY.

This was a very tight match and it was only lost fish that made the difference in the end.
2lb separated 2nd 3rd and 4th places!!

Well........it happened..........all the coaching and wisdom passed on finally worked...........we'll never hear the end of this one..........Mark Smith won a match!!

That's right, the jolly big lad that keeps the office chair warm was 5th pick on the Wednesday rover match and chose peg 30.
Catching some lumps down the edge and across on pellet waggler feeding very little he managed to beat off some close competition catching 123lb 10z and claiming a peg daddy!!

Second from unreliable peg 1 was Joe Carruthers with 107lb 8oz on method and pellet waggler.

3rd place was John Dryden with 98lb 1oz from peg 25

4th was living legend Keith Splodger Brown with 91lb 6oz from peg 7.
