Felling Magpies U16 Girls 7–3 Ryton & Crawcrook

Another brilliant squad performance from the girls today!

A game full of energy, with versatility right throughout the squad and some really good football on show. The girls moved the ball well, played some lovely passing football through the thirds and showed great teamwork from start to finish.

A brilliant performance from Amelia, who even had the referee asking where we’d got her from! She rounded off a fantastic defensive display with two goals. ⚽️⚽️

Opposition Player of the Match – Niamh 🏆
Excellent at building the transition from defence into attack, with the pass of the game to thread Mia through in the first half.

Special mention – Elsa ⭐️
A really strong performance today, with both Coaches Donna and Trevor agreeing she had a fantastic game.

What a battle from start to finish! Two teams giving absolutely everything. The girls showed determination and desire, battling for every ball and grafting their socks off from start to finish.

Maisie (C) 🏆 - In true Maisie style, she rolled her sleeves up, got stuck in and ran herself into the ground for the team. Even when she was cramping up, she was still asking when she could get back on! That’s the mentality.

Two tough away games, still undefeated, and plenty more to come.

First game of the season

Felling Magpies U16 Girls 3 - 3 Stocksfield

A really strong performance from the girls yesterday, and it’s clear this is going to be a very competitive league!

A great match from start to finish, and I think we just about edged it performance-wise. I honestly couldn’t fault any of the girls yesterday every single one dug deep, worked hard and battled for each other.

Due to me being away and lower numbers as I haven’t had a chance to ask everyone, I will start the LMS next weekend. It will also give everyone a chance to see how teams line up in week 1.
The game will start on Friday 28th August with the following fixtures. £10 entry and you pick a different premier league team to win each week. The longest survivor takes the pot, but there can be only 1. If 2 or more players are at the end and neither of their teams will it’s a rollover and everyone pays another £10 and they are back in.

Felling Magpies U16 Girls vs Washington Athletic Magpies

A fantastic first outing of pre-season with some excellent football, great attitudes and plenty of positives to build on.

The girls making their Felling debuts Sutty, Niamh and Amelia settled in brilliantly. A special mention to Amelia, who swapped defence for striker, scored a superb hat-trick on her debut and deservedly took Girl of the Game.

A big thank you to Aimee, Maisie and Hollie for stepping into goal while we manage injuries.

Credit to Washington Athletic for a competitive game and we would like to wish you all the best for the coming season. We hope the girls a speedy recovery who had to come off through injury.

As we look forward to the start of the 26/27 season, registering players from Wednesday 1st July. We also look back on the 25/26 season which was a bit of a mixed bag. The league didn’t quite live up to expectations this season for various reasons, but then we had the highlight of Holland and finishing 3rd out of 20 teams around Europe and it gave us a massive boost going into the additional cup competition where we became finalists once again. Sadly at the end of every season people decide to move on or do something different. This season we say good bye to Amber, Megan and Ian. We wish you all the best for the future and have shared some fantastic memories together. 🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️
