Our Hockey Stick Recycling Scheme

Give your old stick a new lease of life — and give someone else the chance to discover hockey. 💜

We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to play hockey, regardless of their circumstances. That’s why we’re launching Stick Around — our hockey stick recycling scheme, proudly supported with Shammy Shack.

Have an old or unwanted hockey stick sitting at home? Maybe your child has outgrown it, you’ve upgraded your equipment, or it’s simply been gathering dust in the garage.

Don’t let it go to waste — let it stick around! ♻️

We’ll collect unwanted hockey sticks completely free of charge from any Medway home. Every stick donated will be checked and, where possible, repaired before being given a new lease of life.

🏑 YOUR OLD STICK COULD BE SOMEONE’S FIRST

For someone who may not be able to afford the cost of hockey equipment, your donated stick could be the thing that helps them get started.

It could become the first stick of a child discovering hockey for the very first time, helping remove the cost of equipment as a barrier to taking part.

And it doesn’t stop there…

We also want to use the scheme to help promote hockey in schools and education, giving more children the opportunity to pick up a stick, try something new and discover a game they might otherwise never have had the chance to play.

But we’re particularly looking for junior sticks — 26, 28 and 30 inch.

From the Italian Hills to the Darland banks, Anchorians celebrated the start of the season with our Annual Club Day! 🏑💜

We’re a proud, family-friendly club with a place for everyone, whether you’re returning to the game, picking up a stick for the first time, or looking for a new hockey family. We’re still welcoming new players across all ages and abilities, so why not come and join us? 💜🖤🤍
