Walking through the door for your first Krav Maga class can feel intimidating, especially if you’ve got no previous experience.

But at AMK Krav Maga Medway, you don’t need to be fit, confident, experienced, or “tough” to start.

You just need to take that first step.

Our job is to make sure you feel welcomed, supported, and properly coached from day one.

After a brilliant opening night with both kids and adults on the mats, we’re now taking bookings for trial classes.

If you’ve been following the page and thinking about getting involved, this is your sign to come and try a session.

We run:

✅ Kids Krav Maga — ages 7–12
✅ Adults Krav Maga — ages 15+
✅ Practical self-defence
✅ Fitness, confidence and community
✅ Classes Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings

No experience is needed.

You do not need to be fit before you start.

You just need to turn up, get involved and take that first step.

What a first night.

Kids class was brilliant, adults class had over 20 on the mats, and the atmosphere was exactly what we wanted: friendly, focused, hard-working and full of energy.

Faces old and new. Great training. The start of a proper community.

In 7 days AMK Krav Maga opens its doors in Medway and we couldn't be more ready.

We didn't come to Medway to run just another martial arts class. We came because this area deserves proper self-defence training; delivered by qualified instructors, in a dedicated training centre, with no contracts, no gimmicks and no ego.

AMK has been running in Canterbury since 2023. We've built something real there: a genuine training community where people of all ages, backgrounds and fitness levels come together and learn skills that actually matter.

Now we're bringing it to Medway.

Instructor introduction: Gemma! Gemma is co-founder of AMK Krav Maga and part of the AMK Medway instructor team.

Gemma has been training in Krav Maga since 2017 and qualified as an instructor in 2023. She helped build AMK Canterbury from the ground up, supporting the growth of the club across adults, teens, children’s classes, ladies-only training and specialist personal safety events.

Gemma brings a calm, supportive and professional approach to coaching. She is especially passionate about helping people build confidence, resilience and practical self-defence skills in a safe, welcoming environment.

Alongside Krav Maga, Gemma has over 20 years’ experience in learning and development, with a strong background in coaching, communication, leadership and helping people improve. This gives her a clear, structured teaching style and a strong understanding of how different people learn.

At AMK Medway, Gemma’s focus is on helping members feel welcome, supported and capable from the moment they step on the mats. She believes Krav Maga is for normal people who want to feel fitter, safer, more confident and part of a proper training community.
