River Flow Yoga

River Flow Yoga River Flow Yoga offers yoga with Gray Nolan in the form of classes, workshops, courses and retreats, all held at Chapel on the Green in Glasbury, Mid Wales.

Gray also offers Thai Yoga Massage at his home in Clyro. Based in Glasbury - just outside Hay-on-Wye

Gray has been teaching Yoga for almost 10 years and been practicing for over 20! He holds a BWY Diploma in Teaching Yoga and has also done many workshops and CPD with internationally renowned yoga teachers. Gray has worked with Special Yoga Foundation and provides workshops and training to other yoga teachers and body workers. As well as a Thai Yoga Massage therapist - Gray is also a specialist in the field of disability and sensory impairment and works a 'day job' in a charity for people who are deafblind. As well as studying in the UK - Gray has been fortunate enough to spend time in India practicing yoga with his extended family. Vinyasa yoga is for Gray his preferred style - keeping things moving and fluid - he has borrowed a few statements which pop up in his classes from other teachers and yoga texts - his current favourite is 'any amount of the pose - is the pose' You do not have to look perfect or be tied up with belts and blocks to 'achieve' in yoga. Expect a class full of kindness, humour, compassion, working hard, repetition of the words 'plank' and 'breathe' and general feelings of wellbeing. In the Gentle yoga and Mindfulness classes - expect all that and more without the planks!

Still carrying so much warmth from our recent Q***r Nature Retreat this summer🌿🏳️‍🌈

There is something very special about bringing LGBTQ+ people together in the wilds of Mid Wales - sharing food, stories, laughter and quiet moments, while having the freedom to be completely ourselves.

Over the weekend, strangers became friends and a small, temporary community formed around the table and among the hills. These retreats always remind us how restorative it can be to step away from everyday life, reconnect with the natural world and spend time in q***r community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the weekend what it was. We’re already looking forward to gathering again, with our next Q***r Nature Retreat taking place this October 🍂✨

There’s something about moving between river and lake that gently brings you back to yourself
The shock of cold water. The warmth of breath. The quiet rhythm that follows.

Our Flow Like a River retreats are an invitation to step into that rhythm — blending nourishing yoga practices with invigorating wild swimming in rivers and lakes, surrounded by the beauty of the Welsh countryside. Held in the Black Mountains, these weekends are designed to help you reconnect, restore balance, and feel a little more at home in your body.

With expert guidance, wholesome seasonal food, and space to slow down, it’s a chance to soften into the landscape and embrace the flow of it all.

Cold water. Hot sauna. Good people.

A few moments from our recent Fire & Ice weekends at the Chapel.

Cold river swims, wood-fired sauna heat, good food, deep breaths and plenty of laughter.

It was also so lovely to see so many familiar faces returning, having previously joined us for our Flow Like a River wild swim and yoga retreats.

We love watching this little community of swimmers, sauna lovers and nature seekers continue to grow. 🔥❄️

We’re so excited to announce our Solstice retreat: Illuminating the Tarot - 19th - 21st June 2026

A weekend filled with tea and cake, tarot workshops, a riverside picnic on the Wye, morning meditation and movement, a magical solstice swim, and a celebratory feast with tarot-inspired cocktails.
