Getting the client back on the field to train is always the goal.

Doing movements that are difficult with just enough stress to the structures and muscles will create those changes to strengthen and mobilise.

This was a few days after the dislocation of the shoulder, giving the shoulder stability is the priority through exercises. Massage can help if done around the surrounding tissues such as biceps, traps, upper back and so on. But just not the joint itself.
