Coming January 2024…

“The Coffee Run Club” ☕️🏃🏾‍♀️

After posting about thinking about starting a Saturday morning run club in the new year the other day, I’m v excited to say that plans are being put into motion to make it a real thing ✨

The amount of interest I have had over the past couple of days from girls saying they’d be keen to come along in the new year has honestly been so motivating for me to get my arse in gear and make it a real thing 👯‍♀️

This will be open to all abilities, we’re not trying to set any world records here (no woman left behind) Just a group of gals going out a a run then grabbing a coffee and cake after ☕️🍰

I know how intimidating it can be to take up running, especially running outside. The thoughts of “I can’t run fast” or feeling like you can’t call yourself a runner cause you had to walk some of your run. I want to create a group, a safe place where there’s no judgement, no pressure, just good vibes ✨

There will be a groupchat made later on this month, so if you’re interested in being a part of this, send me a wee message (either now or later on in the month when I post about it again)

You never know, you might enjoy it that much that you sign up to run the half marathon in February with me 👀 I’ve already convinced 2 of the girls on my team to join me!!!

Do you want a challenge? Always wanted to run a half marathon? But not want to do it alone? Then why not push yourself out your comfort zone and give me a message and join us!!! It would be amazing to get a group together to do it in February ❤️

A sober 2024 pending ⏳

This post may come as quite a surprise to a few folk (I’ve literally not spoke about this to anyone, not even Georgia) but after contemplating for a few months wether I was actually gonna post about this or not I have come to the conclusion that if I don’t, I give myself the opportunity to not commit to it 😅

Posting on my insta 🤝 holding myself accountable

Now don’t get me wrong I love getting all dressed up and going out with the gals for some (seventeen thousand) drinks and a boogie but what I don’t like is the way I feel after, my hangover is never just feeling a bit s**tty the next day. It’s a whole week of feeling run down, s**t gym sessions, low mood and generally just feeling crap.

It’s dreading the 4:30am Monday morning alarm and the week ahead and honestly it’s come to that point in my life where I just don’t want to be feeling that way at all.

Now I know that in order for me to be able to actually stay sober the whole year (I’m easily influenced, someone says Popworld and I’m there in a flash 😅) I have to have things in place, things to work towards, things that challenge me and push me out my comfort zone so for the first half of the year I have committed to two things already: another half marathon and taking part of the 12 week peak for the 2nd year (promise I won’t be as much of an angry wee guy as this year)

Now don’t get me wrong, I know there will be birthdays, celebrations and everything in between that will test me if I can (I’m allowing myself 4 occasions to drink, these are v special and already planned) but I have faith in myself and I will still attend every event, this isn’t gonna stop me from living my best life, it’s just gonna enhance it! I’ll be on the diet cokes and sugar free red bulls all night 💃

There is so much I want to achieve in 2024, so many new things I want to experience and try out and I’m excited to document it all here ✨

About to make running my whole personality again 🤟

You are in charge of your fitness journey and relationship with your body 😇

It should be a celebration of what your body can do for you and if it feels like punishment, you need to:

✨Re-evaluate WHY you’re doing it and be completely honest with yourself 🤷‍♀️

✨Choose something you enjoy, just cause you see an influencer doing a certain exercise doesn’t mean you HAVE to! There’s hundreds of different exercises out there, different sports you can take up, hundreds of different ways to get your body moving!! You don’t need to do what everyone else is doing!!! 🫡

✨Remind yourself it’s not an overnight process, sadly your fitness journey isn’t linear, there will be days/weeks/ even months where you don’t feel motivated and that’s when you have to dig that wee bit deeper! Remind yourself how you feel after a workout, I’m sure it’s always better 💫

Of course for some people, recording weights and measurements will be necessary to see progress towards their specific goals. But that’s not always the case for everyone, and it’s definitely not crucial to seeing results 🚀

There are hundreds of reasons to exercise. The number on the scales doesn’t necessarily have to be one of them ⚖️

What I’m here to do is to empower you, offer tools and help you realise how fun it can be move your body, lift weights and see more than just the physical progress 🫶

I have women on my team that have come to me for various reasons:
✨for weight loss
✨to learn how to lift weights
✨to put on weight
✨to help build their gym confidence up
✨to get that strong that they can destroy all men (this one I’m only kidding, but if there’s any females that want to, let’s talk)

If you’ve been thinking about investing in yourself and fancy finding out more info, why not get yourself booked in for a free consultation? Either fill out the form in my bio or shoot me over a message ❤️📩

I’m not saying the gym can miraculously change your whole appearance over night but what I do think is, that by investing your time and energy into working on your health and yourself it can give you a different outlook on how you view yourself 😌

Growing up I HATED getting my picture taken and would avoid looking at myself in the mirror, I didn’t grow up the pretty girl. Was quite the angry wee guy (kinda still am Tbf), spent a whole lot of time in my room, was very insecure and was just such a shy person 😅

But by going to the gym, it taught me that although I had these insecurities and a whole lotta self doubt just by going and actively working on myself in a positive way it literally changed my life
1. It makes me feel better about myself 😇
2. It’s pushed me out my comfort zone and allowed me to grow as a person 🏋🏾‍♀️
3. Actually helped me become more confident in myself 💫
4. It taught me to not give a F*ck about what other people think about me 🤪
5. It’s given me the confidence within myself to be able to talk to strangers and not feel overwhelmed by it, I now do it on the daily and don’t even think about it.
6. It gave me the confidence to be THAT girl, the type of girl who would cut about the gym in a sports bra, the oh polly wearing gal, the girl that’s just so confident in herself she doesn’t care what anyone thinks of her 🥹
7. My passion for the gym has now turned into a career where I get to help teach other women how to lift weights, grow their confidence and push themselves out their comfort zones and achieve things they never thought would be possible💕

It feels so fu***ng good to finally look in the mirror and like what I see, don’t get me wrong I know I’m no Beyoncé, but I don’t care, for me to be able to look in the mirror, take selfies, take pictures with friends and not completely over analyse every little flaw/insecurity is so amazing to have that, it’s the biggest win for me 🫶

Here’s a wee collection of all the diff versions of me there has been over the years compared to me the now, kinda cute, kinda emotional! 16 year old me would be so fu***ng proud of all the self love we finally have now, we’ve worked hard on that 🥹❤️‍🔥

a fun lil weekend in london ✨

step count not hit, calories went over but memories were made (and even managed a cheeky wee gym session) 🦋

Plan has been put in place for week 11, home stretch now, steps, calories and cardio, that is my life this week and I can’t wait! But first, we need to get thru an 8 hour car journey back up to Scotland 💙

12/05/2023

🦋Being a girl is also pretty fu***ng awesome🦋

For multiple reasons:

🦋 we get to wear cute gym fits 👑
🦋 the post workout selfies 📸
🦋 we get to lift heavy weights whilst having pretty nails 💅🏋🏾‍♀️
🦋 we actually train legs (don’t come at me boys) 🤪
🦋 we get to change the narrative, strong over skinny 💪
🦋 we can channel our heartbreaks into our sessions and work on ourselves for US ✨
🦋 we continue to train and show up for ourselves during that TOTM even when we really do not want to🫡 (a man could never)
🦋 and so many many more…

🫶A wee update that no one asked for, I have my car back, I had an unreal gym session, had a class lunch, the vibes are good again and now off to spend my Friday night in the gym to do my half hour stairs and finish some work whilst getting in the steps in on the treadmill 🫶

🦋BEING A GIRL SUCKS🦋

I’m bloated, I’m cranky, Ive convinced myself that I’ve not made any progress over the past several weeks and that Im all fat and no muscle ☹️ (I do know this isn’t true, but the brain likes to tell me otherwise)

See at the best of times I can manage my emotions, the hunger, the cravings but my god this week we are struggling!

Normally the week before I’m a hormonal, emotional mess, love a good cry the week before my period BUT this month oh my lord it could not be more opposite, I’m an angry wee gremlin LOL, everything and anything is setting me off! Weights are feeling heavy, sessions are a big fat struggle, my mood is so so so low, there’s not enough caffeine in the world to get me through the day (don’t ask me how many monsters/red bulls/coffees have been consumed so far this week 🤪) I honestly just want to curl up in a ball and hibernate for the week 🫠

And the worst part is that come next week, I’ll be absolutely fine, the bloating will be gone, I won’t have these angry mood swings, I’ll be able to manage my hunger levels and will 100% laugh at how dramatic I have been this week and more importantly I will be back to being me!

I have learnt that being on a cut and PMS-ing is not a vibe at all! so if you see me round the gym and wondering why I look like death or like I’m about to commit a murder, it’s not me, it’s the hormones x

Nothing of value, just taking a moment to document that after 5 years of being a gym lad, it’s only now that I feel confident and comfortable enough to cut about the gym in just a sports bra and leggings 🫶

It doesn’t have to make sense to anyone but YOU 🦋

I’ve lost count how many times I’ve said this but Your fitness/gym/health and well being journey, whatever you want to call it, it is YOUR JOURNEY, no one else’s!🫡

Two of the things that had stopped me from staring running and boxing was the fact I was going to be a beginner and the other being (hate to admit it) what people were going to think/say and it hurts my ego to say that, that there was a part of me that cared what other people thought but then the more I thought about it, I honestly couldn’t care less, because now that I’ve started both those things, I actually couldn’t be happier, I love running!! I’m not very good at it ngl but it’s something that I can now work on getting better!
And boxing with Adam, omg it’s the most fun I’ve had this year, he’s honestly great at what he does and I can’t wait to continue to work with him 🥊

Sometimes PT’s need coaches too, I know nothing about boxing but Adam does so that’s why I’ve went to him. Simple.

Also speaking of coaches needing coaches, another thing that I’ve done is signed up to take part in the 12 week peak challenge with MTN, now this is well out my comfort zone, if you know me, you’ll know just how much of a challenge this is going to be for me but I’ve never been so determined/motivated/driven to give it my all! There’s reasons why I’ve decided to do this, but I’ll save that for another post 😇

If people wanna talk, LET THEM TALK, regardless what you do, someone will always have something to say, so you might as well do the things you want to do and do whatever makes you happy! Screw anyone else’s opinion ✌️

I swear I always try to make these posts short and sweet and make them flow well, but they never do, but that’s just me and that’s just how my Insta is 🤷‍♀️

P.s if you struggle with drinking your water, invest in the tik tok water bottle, it has helped me drink so much more 🫶
