Gerrard has the soul and the class of Mr Struth and the passion of Souness and the drive of Smith. People tried to write him off as he built his team, wanting immediate results, but look what's happened with patience. He shut down Celtc. In what could've been one of the biggest seasons in their history!!! They folded like the pack of cards Mr King said they would. Embarrassed in Europe (again), bumped out the cup, 20 points behind us in January. Players want out. Their fans fighting with the board, the manager, the players, the staff and each other. And all because of one man.. Steven Gerrard. May will (God willing) make him a legend, certainly in my eyes. He had brought back our self respect, he has brought back a winning formula, he has brought back the Walter Smith ethos of players fighting FOR one another and a determination not to lose that we really haven't seen in far too long.
Hopefully we'll see a big performance today to mark his 150th game in charge of our beloved Club.
