Back to basics.
I have been in a ‘moonboot’ for about 18/20 weeks at this point and to say that i have lost stregnth is an understatement. As you can see here even with Bulgarian split squats it is body weight, quite unstable but building confidence and strength takes time. It doesn’t happen overnight. It is going ti take commitment and hard work to get stronger than i have ever been and better than j have ever been. This injury has taught me so much and if anything, has just inspired me to strive for so much more from this life. Watch this space. Going to document my journey here for my own accountability but if any of you need help too then please get in touch to join the team.

Massive Client Win!
I have worked with Jessica for the last 6 months as her online coach. She came to me for accountability and guidance as she was starting out with her health and fitness journey. Jess has put in so much work and commitment to drop not 1 but 2 dress sizes!! Im so proud of her change in view of herself. Seeing her confidence grow and grow through this journey has been amazing!

Seated Bradford press...
Simply put the Bradford Press is a shoulder exercise whereby the barbell is first pressed in front of the head, then lowered behind the neck and finally pressed behind the neck before bringing the bar down to the chest and resuming the process all over again.
with this shoulder exercise you can require all parts of the deltoid equally
use it as a great warm up or as the final exercise when you are training your shoulders
there is much tension on the shoulder musculature, so this makes the free weights workout very effective
beginners should start with less weight or a brush/mop to get used to the course of motions.

The ability to believe in yourself can change your life...

What difference would it make to your life if you had an unshakeable confidence in your ability to achieve anything you really put your mind to?
What would you want? Wish? Hope for?
What would you dare to dream if you believed in yourself with such deep conviction that you had no fear of failure whatsoever?
Most people start off with little or no self confidence, but as a result of their own efforts, they become bold and brave and outgoing...
Over time, if you put in the work to achieve your goals and take those risks that other self confident people do, you too can experience the same feelings and results.
The key is to be true to yourself. To be true to the very best that is in you. Live your life with your truest and highest values and aspirations.
That is the only way to truly learn how to believe in yourself.
Take some time to think about what is that you believe in, who you are and what is important to you.

Press ups 💪
Something many people outright say that they cannot do. But how many of those have tried? It is definitely not the easiest of exercises, it takes practice to go from knees or negatives to full.
However - add in a 5kg boot and its a whole different ball game. This is my first try at one legged press ups and they definitely need work but trying to maintain the balance when there is such an imbalance in limbs is bot without its challenges. Anyway, heres my accountability for myself so i can practice and get them nice and smooth for sets 👌
Its safe to say that over the last few months i have had to be inventive when it comes to training. I have never been one to like workouts that has me sat on the bench for half the session.
Thankfully, TRX has become my new favourite piece of kit. This is an adapted version of incline row single leg (for obvious reasons). Although this injury at times has been incredibly frustrating and sad it has allowed me to get creative with training my core and upper body.
In time i hope to get back to training legs and grow some glutes 🍑 once again, but until then im embracing the process and making do with what i can do

Life loves to throw us all a curveball now and again doesn’t it!? As most of you may know, I’ve had a bad achilles for the last 2 years after injuries. Fast forward to today im now in a boot for 6-10 weeks and may require surgery depending on scan results - here we are as life starts to open up again and im stuck in the hoose! Typical eh? But the important lesson to take from this is to not let it impact me. Will i still train? Yes. Will my business change a bit? Yes (prepare to pick your own weights out). Will i be more wary of my diet? Yes? Will i pick up new hobbies? Yes. The list goes on. Sometimes s**t like this happens and you just have to take it on the chin. I could sit and wallow or play the woe is me card, but whats the point? There are people way worse off than me and at the end of the day its what i make of it. So lets get back to it and i hope to see you all very soon. Away to lie in the sun and end up with a cracking tan line 🤞💜

YES!
This is a huge excuse i hear all the time which fits nicely with ‘i dont have time’...
Here are some things you can do to help you stay on track whilst working long shifts:
⏰ get up earlier- get a workout or some steps in before you start work (or come to my 6am bootcamp)
💪 if you choose not to get up earlier - exercise straight after your shift has finished, sometimes we dont want to but you will feel better for it then when your home thats you for the night isnt it?
🥝 space your meals out and drink plenty of water so you don’t become lethargic
🍲 meal prep - avoids the excuse of getting lunch with work colleagues or snacking on things in the house while WFH
💤 get enough sleep - create a ‘bedtime’ routine to ensure you go to bed relaxed and able to get 6-8 hours in
✌️ use your breaks wisely - avoid potentially stressful activities, take time to clear your head and chill
🤓 prepare the night before - have your clothes and everything you need ready the night before. This will avoid any rushing and/or running late
There are many other ways you can implement routine and structure to get things done. Its all about planning and preparing for your days and you’ll get things done.

Here you can find all the details that you need to know about my bootcamp classes.
Bootcamp runs every Mon/Wed/Fri 6am & 6pm.
Bootcamp is held next to The People’s Palace in Glasgow Green. Spaces are limited so get your name on the list ASAP so you dont miss out.
If you bring along 2 friends then your first and second session are completely free! If you know of 2 friends who might be interested in joining in, bring them along and the first two sessions are free of charge.
What happens if you cant attend a class? Once you have signed up, i will make sure to get you moving. Regardless of if you have access to equipment at home, there is a workout to suit you and i will make sure you have something to keep you moving.
Further to this, I have put together a FREE nutrition starter pack for those looking to shed the pounds while getting fit. When you sign up, you will have access to this and the group community page with regular tutorials hosted by yours truly.
