What a fantastic Opening Day at Kirkintilloch Bowling Club - a brilliant turnout, plenty of laughs, and a great atmosphere from start to finish 😊

From the first bowls of the season being delivered to some closely contested ends on the green, it was great to see both familiar faces and new ones getting involved. There was a real buzz around the club, with everyone enjoying being back outdoors and back playing again.

The green looked superb, the clubhouse was lively, and most importantly - it was a great reminder of what the club is all about: community, activity, and enjoying the game together

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of our dear friend, Past President, former Committee Member, and much-loved member of Kirkintilloch B.C., Robert Barrie.

Robert was a true gentleman and a cherished part of our club family, whose presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

We would like to share details of the funeral arrangements for Robert.

The funeral will take place at Bishopbriggs Crematorium on Thursday 16th October at 1pm, and thereafter the Kirkintilloch Rangers Club.


Our thoughts are with his Liz, Allan, Ruth and his family and friends at this very difficult time.

Good luck to our member Gordon McLeod, and the rest of the Dunbartonshire East team today in the Final of the Andrew Hamilton Trophy at Newhills BC in Aberdeen.
