🎉 KIRKINTILLOCH BOWLING CLUB – CLOSING DAY 🎉

The Committee of Kirkintilloch Bowling Club would like to invite ALL MEMBERS and GUESTS to our Closing Day!

📅 Saturday 26th September
⏰ 1.30pm for a 2.00pm start

Come along and enjoy a laugh, some fun and a game of bowls as we celebrate the end of another outdoor season.

Everyone is welcome! Members can simply turn up on the day, but if you can let us know in advance if you’re coming, it would be helpful.

Tonight sees our last Monday night points of the current season, open to ALL members.

Come down and enjoy one final evening game of bowls before the season is done for the winter.

⏰️6.30pm start, please arrive promptly if you want to play, it's getting darker.

And that's a wrap on our internal club tournaments for 2026. 🏆

Today saw us hold our Mixed Crown Green bowling event and thankfully the 🌞 was out for one final tournament this year.

We had a great day filled with laughs and some great bowls as players from both our Ladies and Gents section took to the green for a fun afternoon.

Everyone played 4 section matches which saw Alan Cross, Paula Runciman, Alastair Hall and Euan Conway progress to the semi finals with Alan and Paula winning 2 keenly contested games to progress to the final.

Alan would then go on to defeat Paula to retain the 🏆 he won in 2025.

Well done Alan. We are already asking him when he goes on holiday next season lol.

**REMINDER of our Mixed Crown Green Bowling Event that takes place today at the club, 11.30am for 12 noon start.**

This will be the last of our club tournaments for the current season.

The weather looks like its going to be on our side so hopefully a good day of bowls lies ahead.

NO requirement to have signed up beforehand, ALL MEMBERS WELCOME.

🏆 CROWN GREEN BOWLING SINGLES EVENT 🏆

📅 **Sunday 20th September**
⏰ **11:30am for a 12 noon start**

Please try to **arrive as early as possible** so we can get everyone organised and ready to play.

This will be our **last club competition of the current season** and is a **mixed event**, with **ALL members welcome**.

🎯 **Everyone is guaranteed 3 games of 5 ends.**

✅ **No need to sign up in advance** — members can simply turn up on the day and play!

We look forward to seeing everyone there for a great day of bowls on our 2nd last weekend of the season 🏆

The weather 💦 has not been kind to us the last couple of weeks with points night which is a shame this late in the season.

However we have one Monday night game left next week so let's hope the 🌞 shines on us and we can get out for one final night on the green before closing day.

We can now confirm that the starting time will be 6.30pm and all members welcome.

Today saw our Gents section hold our last tournament finals of the season with the Gents Ballotted Triples. Once again the weather was kind to us to allow for a great day of bowls.

Congratulations to Graham Rintoul, Bill Potts and Ian Macleod who ran out convincing winners on the day. Graham adds this to his senior pairs title and for Ian it is a double in the triples events having won the nominated event also.

Commiserations to our runners up Val Pearson, Jim Hughes/Jim Anderson (who each played one match) and Alistair Macleod.

This concludes our Gents programme for the current season however we do still have our Mixed crown green bowling event to come next Sunday the 20th, more info to come on that during the week.
