Saint Anthony's FC Under 20s are looking for players born in 2007,2008 and 2009 to join our Under 20s next season.

With opportunities to take the step up to the first team (Over 20 players have done so in the past 4 seasons) you could find yourself playing West of Scotland Football League Third Division as well as in the Friday night West of Scotland Football Development League

The Ants 20's Starting lineup for tonight's Conference D match away to St Cadoc's Youth Club Under 20s. Owen Connolly has opened the scoring for us but St Cadoc's went 2-1 ahead. Top Scorer Dylan Craig grabbed his 8th of the league campaign to make it 2-2 as it stands.

Highlights from last Friday Night's 4-2 defeat away to Thorn Under 20s

The lost out 4-2 to Thorn Athletic Under 20s at Renfrew Leisure Centre but showed great character to not go into their shells after last weeks heavy defeat given that Thorn opened the scoring after only 11 minutes when new signing Jethy Kinavuidi netted past his own Keeper.

James Hill (Sponsored by Caldwell Plumbing&Heating) grabbed a deserved equaliser on 24 minutes but Thorn retook the lead in the 37th minute when Lewis Forward scored despite strong protests from the Ants defence that he was offside and it was 2-1 Thorn at the break.

The second half was only a minute old when Thorn grabbed their third when Cameron Gray smashed home from close range after a long diagonal found him at the back post but credit to the Young Ants who kept battling and closed back to within a goal on the hour mark when Bradley Benton scored arguably the goal of the match, stepping on to a Alex White cutback to fire into the top corner from just inside the box.

Thorn wrapped up the points in the 78th minute when Glen Anderson reacted quickest in the box to a cross nicking it away from Hobbs and into the net to make it 4-2 to the home side.

A hard fought win for the home side but a resiliant showing from the who kept going right until the end.

Next up for the Ants Under 20's is a short trip to Renfrew to face Thorn Athletic Under 20s in the West of Scotland Football Development League Conference D looking to wipe away the horrors of last weeks resounding defeat to Johnstone Burgh.

Its a 7:15pm Kick Off for this one and it would be great to see as many of you as possible down supporting the Ants stars of tomorrow.

As we head into the second half of the Season the Ants Ladies are recruiting to strengthen the squad as we look to continue to chaenge for the SWF South. Training on a Tuesday and a Thursday with matches on a Sunday, Ants Ladies want players who want to grow and move up the divisions with the club.
