Saying….

“I would like the house to be white”

Saying it — wasn’t going to make it happen (I wish it was that easy, because I’m fooked 🤣🙈)

But I’m happy I’ve got my ass into gear and made a start 👏

Exactly the same applies to exercise;

How long have you been talking about getting started…?
Weeks, months, maybe longer!

Talking will not change anything.

🤔 In fact it will…
It’ll make you feel worse, because you’re not doing what you know you should be doing.

👎 You’ll still feel tired.
👎Your motivation will be low. (maybe your mood too)
👎You’ll still be unhappy with what you see in the mirror / feel in your clothes.

Versus… 👇👇 👇

✅ Starting small. Just starting!

✅ Feeling good with yourself because you’ve taken action.
✅ Feeling more positive
✅ Having bit more energy.
✅ Sleeping better.
✅ Making healthier choices
🥳 Feeling better in general.

Not sure where to start?
Need a wee bit of help?

If you’re happy to start — I’m more than happy to help you 💕

Comment START below and let’s stop the talking 😁

Please stop chasing perfection.

Feeling you have to be “good” 100% of the time.

Especially during the summer months.

This ALL or NOTHING mindset could be what’s holding you back from achieving your goals.

It could be the very thing that’s stopping you from ‘feeling good and enjoying your summer’.

Keep it simple.

Keep it steady.

Choose one or 2 things - and let’s call them your NON NEGOTIABLES;

✔️ Prioritise your - at every meal. Especially early on in the day.

✔️ your body. 20-30 min walk. A shorter than usual workout - 15 minutes

✔️ Don’t forget your . Get colour on your plate. Beige is boring 😁

✔️ Stay hydrated!! Aim for 2-3 litres of throughout the day. Especially if the temps are higher or the carbs, salt, or alcoholic beverage intake is higher !

The summer is a Funtime. Enjoy it.

Keep it steady.

Stop chasing perfection.

Focus on the bits that matter…..and do them daily.

If you’re needing help getting back on track - comment SUMMER below or send me a DM 🤍

Walking isn’t enough ….

If you’re in perimenopause or Menopause and struggling to lose weight…and you’re still only walking... this one’s for you.

But, before I go any further….
I am NOT suggesting you STOP walking, absolutely NOT, or stopping whatever your choice of cardio is.
There’s a definite place for cardio.

I’m here to say “STOP leading with it”

Here’s what actually moves the needle during midlife and perimenopause/menopause 👇

👉Lifting weights, to protect the muscle and bone you’re losing right now.

👉Getting your protein in! Your body needs more than you’re possibly giving it!

I’m hearing it daily.
Women who’ve walked for years and frustrated nothing’s changed.

It’s not your fault, you’re just doing what you’ve always done, and to be fair it probably worked in your 20s/30s.

But not now ladies, our bodies are changing - so the plan needs to change too!

2️⃣ THINGS YOU CAN DO NOW TO MAKE A CHANGE (not a quick fix, the start of a new game plan)

Number 1: add two strength sessions into your week, lift a set of weights that feels challenging, 20-30 minutes is enough!

Number 2; get 25-30 grams of protein into every meal. Keep it simple; eggs, Greek yogurt, chicken, salmon, lean meat, turkey…Especially early on in the day.

Small changes, but they’re the ones that actually shift things during perimenopause.

If you need any support or help with any of this comment WALKING or drop me a message.

After years of yo-yo dieting.
Starting over every Monday.
Over-restricting —> Overeating 🔁
Feeling disappointed with herself.
Feeling like a failure.

The tide has turned for Evelyn.

She found the programme that she needed at this stage of her life.

The one that works.

The one that keeps it real - for real women in midlife.
The one that fits around your life.
The one that holds you accountable.
The one that doesn’t overwhelm you.

LIFT LEAN™️ isn’t just about exercise. it’s a lifestyle programme.

Nutrition
Mindset
Sleep
Hormone health
Stress

We focus on the bits that matter the most, and we do them consistently — not perfect, just consistent !

If you would like to feel as good and as happy as Evelyn — drop me a message.

Where else would you want to be 💚

09/07/2026

Are you waking 5000 miles because you want to loose weight? Look lean?

👉Tell me why do you walk? (so much)
👉Why is it your go to, your chosen type of exercise?

And before you come at me…

I’m not saying don’t walk 😁
Walking is nice. I love walking.
It’s one of the best things you can do for your mental health, heart health and overall wellbeing.

But…..
If you’re walking every day because you believe it’s going to change your body shape, get you that toned, lean body most women who come to me are after 👎

Many women come to me who, when I ask what exercise they’re doing, tell me:

“I walk. I do 5K every day.”

And that’s brilliant 👍

But then these same women are often saying:

“I’m walking all the time, but I’m not losing weight. Nothing is changing.”

And this is where we need to ask ourselves…

If what you’ve always done isn’t giving you the result you want, isn’t it time to try something different?

Walking is fantastic for your health, your head and your daily movement—but it isn’t the same as your body.

I’ve been there. For years, cardio was my thing. I ran most days. I ran a marathons.

Thanks to the pandemic I discovered strength training, lifting a set of dumbbells. That was it!

I became stronger.
More capable.
More confident.
My body composition changed. Instead of looking small (skinny), I developed a leaner, stronger, more defined physique, and I felt better than I ever did (fewer injuries)

And this matters even more as we enter midlife and .

We naturally start losing muscle as we age, and we need to protect it, maintain it.

Strong muscles help support our bones, and strength training provides that stimulus our bones need to stay strong and healthy. Again, increasingly important as we age as our risk of bone loss increases.

👉Also… if you’re on a fat loss journey; losing weight without strength training can mean losing valuable muscle too. Muscle is metabolic.

🙏 Don’t wait until 10 or 20 years down the line to think about your strength, your muscle and your bone health.

Start building and protecting it now.

Keep walking. Absolutely.

But make strength training the priority.
