The women in their mid 40s, early 50’s and winning menopause, aren’t doing anything fancy.
They’re doing the boring stuff. Over and over.
On the days they feel like it and the days they don’t.
✅Getting the steps in.
✅Eating Protein.
✅Protecting Sleep.
✅Drinking Water.
✅Lifting weights…Progressively.
✅ Balancing their hormones whichever way they choose to!
✅Showing up again. And again. On Repeat. Even on the days they would rather not.
Meanwhile the health & fitness industry is ‘selling’, brainwashing you the opposite 😡

❌ The shortcut

But here’s the truth — nobody profits from telling you; chasing the quick fix is usually just a way to avoid the boring stuff that actually works!

👉 Chasing the shiny object just has you kicking the can down the road.
👉 And….keeping you stuck in exactly the same position 😢
The women getting real, lasting strength in midlife are simply the ones who show up long after everyone else has chucked the towel in, because they’ve got distracted by the online nonsense!
You don’t have to start over again.
You just have to start growing up & showing up, yep I said it…
Sometimes we gotta “adult up” take responsibility, show up and do the boring stuff….because works I promise you 💕

Exercise is VERY important for our health, we know this right 👍 and not just our physical health!
But….
It’s only a tiny piece of the puzzle!
If you were to think of a pie chart would be the smallest slice.
You’ve heard the saying “You can’t exercise your way out of a bad diet”?
Never a truer saying.
We must dial into all of the other Lifestyle ‘stuff’, if we are to protect our overall health & wellbeing.
Especially during menopause.
Especially if you’re on a weight-loss journey.
Especially as we age!

What your body looks like at 80 is not determined at 80.
It is determined by the decade you are in right now.
Nobody tells women early enough what their 80s will actually look like.
1️⃣ group of women in their 70s and 80s who are still strong, still mobile, still independent.
And women the same age who have lost the capacity to do basic things on their own...
👉What’s the difference?
The difference is rarely genetics.
It is what they did, or did not do, in the decades before.
Here is what the evidence consistently shows:
mass begins declining in your 30s and accelerates with each decade.
After , without the hormonal protection that provides, the loss compounds. Bone density follows the same pattern.
The women who arrive at 80 still capable, didn’t get lucky. They built that capacity deliberately.
✔️ Progressive resistance training.
✔️ Adequate protein.
✔️ Movement that challenged the body, not just maintained it.
The window to build it is open right now.
Not just at 50. At 35. At 42. At 58. At 64.
Wherever you are reading this, this is the youngest you will ever be again.
What you do in this decade is the investment your future self will either thank you for or wish you had made.
Start now. Not perfectly. Just consistently.

I genuinely get it.
It wasn’t that long ago - so it’s still very clear in my mind! #2020
I had a very bumpy perimenopause …very bumpy!
It’s not easy.
In fact for many women it’s a very difficult time.
But in true female fashion — “och it’s not that bad”
Too many of you are trying to push it aside…
Get on with it….
Downgrade it…
Struggle in silence.

What’s happening right now is real.
It’s not all in your head.
You’re not being pathetic or weak.
It’s perimenopause.

“It’s all in your mind”….never a truer saying!
The mind is such a powerful force!
We can talk ourselves into or out of anything.
How many times have you (almost) talked yourself out of something, only to find yourself saying “it wasn’t as bad as I expected”. (hundreds of times)😁
Often it’s the thinking….the thoughts that we’ve created in our heads, that are holding us back from achieving the goals or things we want in life.
And the thing is; we have control over our thoughts.
We can accept them, change them, challenge them !
The mind is a muscle just like all other muscles in our bodies - the more you train it the stronger it will become.
You’re the boss of your brain….
