Can't believe it's been a full month since the first ever Sequential Scotland. Getting the amazing photos back through from Rebecca Scolley Photography was such a treat!

We're now working hard to make the next Sequential happen! The feedback from the community has been so lovely and so helpful! We can't wait to do it again with you all xx

Where do we even start with trying to say thank you for how incredible Saturday was? The celebratory energy, enthusiasm for art, and support for each other has us brimming with pride for the comics community. Now we've had a wee rest, there are so, so many thanks due:

has been an absolutely incredible headline artist - creating the perfect vibe for the first ever poster, and being a wee champion for the festival before we even got the go ahead to put it on. Every single time we showed the poster to someone, their face lit right up, and they could not stop telling us how much they loved it and how cute it is.
is the amazingly talented creator of our logo. She managed to thread that needle of fun, professionalism, and a design that will pair up beautifully against any art, in any situation that we need it to be in. It's instantly recognisable, and it was such a valuable foundation to build the rest of the convention visuals around.

Our workshop hosts and created such welcoming space for people to get stuck in and draw.
Our cosplay host for stepping in last minute and helping all the cosplayers to truly show off their incredible work.
All of you have had such professionalism, enthusiasm and energy for the show - telling everyone you know and not being intimidated by our inability to predict just how many people were going to come along! We could not have asked for a more lovely cohort.

Thank you so much to all friends and family that have got stuck in, spread the word, helped with decisions, carrying boxes, double-checking spelling!

Thank you so much to all of the tablers that took a punt on a brand new show. We know that this is always a risk, but the festival would not have been the success that it was without your unwillingness to take that risk. Thank you for being candid with us about any issues you were having, as well as giving us so much love and support. We know you travelled from far and wide, and we were so glad to create a space to show the world how incredible and talented you all are.

Thank you so much to our event staff: Ron .jvrg , Anna , Nyla and Lennox . It was a genuine treat to have you all on board - you made the day a delight, making us laugh, being so courteous and professional, and grabbing hold of every challenge the day brought to you. Your kindness, helpfulness and friendly vibes were noted repeatedly by exhibitors and attendees alike. Team Squench 2025 5eva! That was some graft x

Our absolute beast of a photographer Rebecca .visuals and her lovely partner Ewan , who was a huge champion of not only Rebecca, but of Sequential as well! Thank you so much for your meticulous and thoughtful capture of the day, as well as actively pitching in wherever you could. What a legend! We can’t wait to see your excellent work, and know our exhibitors will be excited to have professional pics of their tables too!

Thank you so much to the Hilton staff, Billy, David and Eileen – to Tristan who set up the all the AV equipment and showed us how to use it – and to Billy and Ishmael on security. No ask was too much, and you alleviated our stress and nerves from the word go. Special thanks to you and the girls on the desk for helping with lost property, and for your efficient and friendly presence. Thanks especially for all the behind the scenes bits (LIKE SORTING THE TABLES) to make things run as smoothly as possible for our team.

Big thanks to for providing the funding to make all of this possible, and for for sponsoring us, providing the free tote bags – and the cherry on top of the amazing prize bags for our competitions. As well as all the people that stuck a fiver into my ko-fi in the early days of the festival’s conception! You believed in us from the very beginning x

Last, but most certainly not least, thank you so, so much to you, our community! Without any of you the festival would have no meaning. We created this space for you, and you showed up from all over the UK to make the most of it, and it has been a true joy to facilitate all of this for you. It was such an amazing atmosphere for an inaugural festival – we are beyond chuffed that you all enjoyed it so much, and the wonderful atmosphere we had on the day is truly priceless, and could not have existed without all of you there. So many of you sought us out during the day to tell us what a wonderful time you were having, and the feedback from the exhibitors so far has been that every last one of you was enthusiastic, engaged, and just absolutely amazing. We have loved seeing all your chat and hauls across socials!

More than anything we are so pleased that you all let us have a go at creating this indie convention for Glasgow – you really proved time and again on Saturday that People Make Glasgow.
