Very well deserved, since Blake has arrived at Gairdoch he has knuckled down, worked extremely hard on his game and is just a terrific kid to work with 👏

Livingston have a very good player on their books and we can’t wait to follow his progress 🙌

As always the annual trip to St Anne’s delivers an incredible weekend for the team, more incredible memories made in a fun filled weekend 👌

𝙂𝘼𝙄𝙍𝘿𝙊𝘾𝙃 𝙂𝙊𝙇𝘿 -

Arriving at the tournament with low numbers due to last minute changes we had to seek support from our friends at St. Annes Football Club and with Sammy and Ellis joining the Black & Gold for the day we had the numbers to compete an that we did.

Up against some decent opposition and a different style of play on the grass the boys handled it well after a slow start, playing against a fantastic Halifax Girls squad who knocked it about well. We came through our group games in a respectable 3rd place qualifying for the “Cup” section of the tournament. We knew finishing 3rd meant we qualify for Cup and play Gairdoch Black but we weren’t changing our ethos and we won the game to set up an inter club tie in the QF

A superb game in the QF with two excellent Gairdoch teams going at it .. the Blacks edging it with a 0-1 victory 👏

𝙂𝘼𝙄𝙍𝘿𝙊𝘾𝙃 𝘽𝙇𝘼𝘾𝙆 -

A strong side who went down looking to further their previous success at this tournament. We competed very well in the groups winning the games with only 1 defeat against the group winners in contestable circumstances but we accepted this and finished in a very good second place, this meant a QF in the “Cup” section.

We then came up against Gairdoch Gold in the QF and it was a good tight game with boy teams playing excellent football, the right way and the best football of the day we feel. Blacks edging the tie 1-0 with Vinnys great taken strike 👌

Into the SF against fellow Scots Valspar from Ayrshire we knew it’d be a tough tie, both teams competed well with Gairdoch getting the important result to progress to the final against Foxhall

Now the Final against Foxhall, the team who narrowly beat us 1-0 in the groups, we sought revenge and competed well however tired legs, different format of longer ball and grass made the final just one step too far on the day, we feel we could do better but it wasn’t too be.

In summary yet again both Gairdoch teams displayed impressive football, impeccable behaviour and great sportsmanship as the both teams progressed from the groups in the top 3 to compete for the cup, sadly playing against each other again but that’s the luck of the draw.

Both Gairdoch teams performed very well and done the club proud.

Football aside - the full weekend is excellent, Blackpool pleasure beach and Central Pier providing excellent entertainment for the squad all weekend with the weather playing its part ☀️

Our flying dynamic winger 𝗠𝗔𝗫 𝗡𝗢𝗥𝗠𝗔𝗡 has been on the radar of a few teams recently and has earned the right to enter the Livingston FC academy set up to undertake additional training and games 👏

Well in Max, what a character this lad is and he’s worked hard recently to do what he does best, exciting to watch, 1-1 dominant and a real handful when blistering down the wing.

Max joins up with his club teams Blake and Sam which will only help him showcase his best at Livi 👌

CSFA League day 2 …

𝙫𝙨 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝙁𝘾 .. away to newcomers Grangemouth FC at the local Braes High. Entertaining game and a tight first half as Grangemouth tried to make their mark however things opened up and with Gairdoch looking to keep the ball on the deck and play football , good things happened 🔥 every dead ball Grangemouth played would make have made Trump proud 🚀 good performance from the boys and onto the next 👌

𝙫𝙨 𝙂𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙠𝙞𝙧𝙠 .. home to promoted side Garnkirk, the boys started well fired up from their prolonged warm up due to a time mix up 🫣 should have tucked more away but chances created being the main thing. Second half and Garnkirk found the long ball game we see quite frequently in the league .. few chances created from this caused bother but Gairdoch regrouped and handled the challange well, shame about the Garnkirk coaching behaviour for u10’s football .. least said the better, the boys rose above the nonsense to finish strong 👏

Last weekend saw the famous Black & Gold retain their Futsal League Trophy with a play off match against a very strong EH Futsal.

A very good game of futsal, played at high intensity and a great standard.

A joy to be involved in the Futsal and credit to the boys for retaining the trophy 👏

𝗖𝗦𝗙𝗔 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗚𝗨𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟭 👌

League football returned this Saturday and it was good being back to routine after a busy pre season 🔥

𝙂𝙖𝙞𝙧𝙙𝙤𝙘𝙝 𝙫 𝙎𝙮𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖 - A local fixture for the lads against a good Syngenta side, always coached well and can prove a handful. The boys stuck with it , stuffy at times but we kept plugging away and took our chances well, credit to the opposition GK who was on excellent form 👏

𝙂𝙖𝙞𝙧𝙙𝙤𝙘𝙝 𝙫 𝙊𝙣 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘽𝙖𝙡𝙡 - A nice early trip to Govan for a a tricky game against a fine side, OTB knock it about very well and their 1-2 play was difficult to deal with at times. We started the brighter team , dipped a little but a half time regroup seen Gairdoch have a stronger second half to make sure the game stayed competitive.. a good test and the type of games you want 👏
