And that's a wrap. After just over 3 years, today marks my last day at the gym.
I have had the pleasure of working with some amazing clients over the years to push them towards a healthier and fitter self. I have no doubt you will continue to smash those PBs!
Also worked with some amazing people and got to know some of the gym regulars. People make a gym what it is.
Thanks to everyone for making my time here so memorable.
Now, on to pastures new.
Goodbye Puregym, Clydebank π
Best of luck to you all, and don't be strangers!

π₯ Competiton - WIN an entire month of personal training with SPARK π₯
To celebrate the launch of SPARK in January, I am offering a complimentary space on the programme for an entire month.
SPARK is a health and fitness programme designed for women who want to find their spark, starting with their health and fitness
Our spark is everything we value in life - the people and things that matter the most. E.g, family, friends, relationships, career.
In order for us to be there for what makes us spark, we first need to have control of our health and fitness.
Without it, everything else suffers.
SPARK is there to help align your health and fitness goals to what matters most to you
so you NEVER have to;
- be on a constant start stop cycle
- be anxious at the gym again
- rely on motivation to get you through
- cut out the foods you love
This is not for the sake of a before and after photo
or chasing a number on the scale.
This is for you to feel fitter, stronger, and empowered to perform at your best
for everyone and everything that matters to you most.
So, if you are looking to take control of your health and fitness and do it for what truly matters to you, then this is your opportunity to make 2025 the year for you.
The competition closes on Sunday 12th January and the winner will be contacted on Monday 13th January.

π₯ Introducing SPARK π₯
A programme designed for women who are looking to find their spark, starting with their health and fitness.
Our spark is everything that we value most in life β what matters to us the most
The spark in everyone is different.
That is what makes us all so unique.
This is also why generic health and fitness plans do not work longer term
Yes, you may get a result, but how often have you found yourself back to square one?
If this IS what you want, then SPARK is NOT for you.
SPARK is completely individual to you, designed to align your health and fitness goals with what you value most in life.
and give you results for life.
This is not for the purpose of a before and after photo or achieving a number on the scale. This is for you to feel and perform your best.
To never be on another diet again
To never have to fear the gym
And to be;
Stronger β to handle everything life throws your way, both physically and mentally
Fitter β to perform to the absolute best of your abilities and be there for the things that matter most
Empowered β to have the confidence in yourself, and be the best version of you that you can be
Finding your spark starts with taking control of your health and fitness, so you can be there for the people and things you value most in life
If you donβt have your health and fitness, everything else will suffer.
It doesnβt have to be that way.
Imagine being in a position over the festivities, knowing that you have secured a position to embark on finding the best version of you in 2025, not only for yourself, but for everything and everyone that makes you spark. How would that make you feel?
How would you feel if things stayed the same as they have been for perhaps years, or they get worse?
If you are ready to commit to yourself in 2025, and want to finally find your spark, DM βSPARK' to find out more.

How often have you thought to yourself in order to lose weight you need to avoid carbs? E.g. breads or pasta.
Have you ever felt an overwhelming sense of guilt after you've eaten carbs?
Or feel like you need to 'work it off' in the gym?
See, it's not your fault.
Over the last few years, food has been given moral labels - 'good' food and 'bad' food.
Often, carbs are labelled as 'bad', which is simply not the case.
We've attached a negative feeling to carbs, which has led to an unhealthy relationship and something to avoid.
Here's the thing, the second you deny yourself a thing, you plant a seed.
The more you deny yourself, the more you're watering the seed, and it grows.
Before you know it, you've got a plant, and before long, you've succumbed to temptation and more likely to binge.
As we all do. We're only human! We eventually succumb to temptation if we've held off for so long.
But imagine we didn't water that seed?
Imagine we allowed ourselves bread. I'm not saying eat the whole loaf, but allow for a slice or 2.
I bet you'd be less frustrated, more satisfied with your food choice, and less likely to binge after weeks of torturing yourself.
Which is going to make that weight loss journey a lot easier and more sustainable.
I never tell anyone I work with to avoid carbs. In fact, the completed opposite.
Because you can eat carbs and still make progress.
Carbs are fuel.
Without fuel, the engine doesn't run.
Have you been avoiding certain foods and fed up with it? Send a DM with 'carbs', and let's see how I can help.

Achieving a health and fitness goal can be, at times, frustrating
it's not easy.
That's the honest truth of it.
There will be times when you are on cloud 9 - everything is going exactly how you want
And there will be times when you feel like you've taken a few steps back - nothing seems to be going your way.
This is a completely normal part of the process.
What separates those who achieve and those that don't is pushing through the times when things don't seem to be going your way.
It's very easy to give it your all when times are good.
But when times are harder? That's the real test.
It's easy to lose sight of the bigger picture if we focus on that one time when things weren't going as we wanted.
And if we dwell on that?
That's a one way ticket back to a place you are trying to get away from.
So, if in doubt, zoom out.
Look back 3, 6, 9, 12 months ago and compare who you are now to who you were back then.
Comparing months and months of hard work and progress with a bad week?
That's not fair.
Look at the bigger picture.
What were you feeling like 6 months ago compared to now?
How have your performance/energy levels improved in the last 3 - 6 months?
Have you noticed changes in your physique?
Have you been able to fit into clothes that you couldn't this time last year?
Zoom out.
See the bigger picture.
Have a happier journey.
DMs are always open if anyone needs some support right now π

Worried you'll get "bulky" from strength training?
Let's bust the myth.
Firstly, you are not alone!
This is a common fear many women face when it comes to achieving their health and fitness goals.
There is a belief that lifting weights will lead to a "bulky" physique, which is simply not true.
Here's the truth;
Strength training = Toned, not bulky.
Lifting weights will help you build lean muscle, which will help to achieve a more toned appearance.
The "bulky" look requires months, even years of specialised dieting and training.
Which is something the average gym goer won't have.
Here's what you actually gain from strength training;
β
οΈ Increased strength and confidence; so that you feel empowered and capable in everything you do.
β
οΈ Building more muscle which means your body will burn more calories throughout the day, which is a natural hack to losing fat.
β
οΈ Losing inches and clothes fitting better - even if the scale is not moving much
β
οΈ Better overall health; improved bone density and muscular strength,Β weight management, better posture and reduced risk of injuries and developing diseases like diabetes and hypertension.
Don't let the fear of "bulking" hold you back from achieving your goals.
Embrace the weights and build a strong, confident and healthier you
Struggling with this and want to know what to do? DM "Strength" and let's have a chat about your next steps.

You know why motivation may be the very thing stopping you from achieving your goal?
It's a feeling.
Just like happiness, sadness, and everything in between.
Feelings come and go. We aren't always happy or sad. We aren't always motivated.
It's very easy to put 100% in when we are motivated.
But what happens when you aren't motivated? Do you stop completely and wait til the motivation comes back?
If so, you aren't alone. I've been there too. I've spoken with loads of women who are also having the same issue.
It's hard to give 100% when motivation is low or non-existent. Of course it is.
Plus, we've got 100 other things going on. We forget to look after ourselves.
Then we end up back at square one.
Sound familiar?
The reality is if you are relying on motivation to reach your goal, and motivation comes and goes, your progress will also come and go.
You may find yourself in a constant start stop cycle - fuelled by whether or not you are motivated that week.
During times when you feel less motivated, it is important to keep up some of the habits you've built. Even if that's going out for a walk, a 20-minute home workout or whatever you feel you can do that day.
It may not be your usual 100%, but showing up at 50% is better than nothing.
Chances are you'll feel much better for it, too.
If you feel that motivation is ruining your progress, send me a DM and let's see how I can help, like I have many other women, to overcome this.
