Knightswood 5-4 Stamperland

Knightswood 2012s booked their place in the next round of the Scottish Youth Cup following a dramatic 5-4 win over Stamperland.

The home side made a positive start and raced into a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from riley and kai, but Stamperland responded well and drew level at 2-2 shortly after the interval.

Showing great character, Knightswood hit back strongly and took control of the tie with three further goals to open up a commanding 5-2 advantage. Goals from James M, Leo, and Lucas put Knightswood firmly in charge and seemingly on course for a comfortable victory.

However, with the game appearing won, Knightswood lost some concentration and Stamperland took advantage, scoring twice from avoidable situations to reduce the deficit to 5-4 and create a tense finish.

Despite the late pressure, Knightswood held on to secure an entertaining victory and progress from the first round.
