Ryan Grant to pull on the Accies jersey in 2019/20 season!

After making an immeasurable improvement to the Accies pack over the course of last season, Ryan will be continuing in his coaching role, however he will also be lacing up his boots for the club.

Ryan’s playing record speaks for itself, with a distinguished career representing Glasgow Warriors, Scotland and the British and Irish Lions.

“It was great to be involved with Accies last year and rewarding to see the benefits of hard work in training pay off as the performances improved throughout the course of the season, to the point where we were challenging the top teams in the league. I’m looking forward to getting stuck in again and helping develop the players’ in the squad as well as getting back to playing and pulling on the Accies’ strip”.

His experience will be invaluable this season and we are excited to see Ryan continue the pack’s improvement and get a run out at New Anniesland in the new season!

Tommy Spinks Joins Accies!

Glasgow Accies are excited to announce Tommy Spinks as player coach for the 2019/20 season.

Tommy has just come off a superb double winning season at Ayr. Having played professionally for Glasgow Warriors, London Scottish, Ospreys, Jersey as well as having captained Scotland u20s, Tommy will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge that the Accies squad are looking forward to benefiting from.

“After 2 fulfilling seasons with Ayr Rugby Club and winning both the League and the Scottish Cup, I’m proud to finally confirm my move to Glasgow Accies for the forthcoming season.

Glasgow Accies is a very well regarded local rugby club with a rich history. I see huge potential within the coaching team, with the likes of Andy Jackson, Ruaridh Jackson and Ryan Grant.

I’m looking forward to meeting all of the boys and getting stuck into the season”
