-
Pull up or Row up?
-
The golden ticket towards pull-ups seems a life time away for most people.
-
Start with a row. Get used to holding and pulling your bodyweight and engaging through the right sequence.
-
Most people have a sticking point or lose shape because they have not mastered the sequence of flow through the movement.
-
Demonstrated here with a inverted row but can also be done using a barbell, ropes etc.
-
Layer up the levels as you progress until you’re in a table top position and pulling throughout the full range.
-
Any questions let me know and look out for the next stage of the process.

Why I do what I do....
-
In short I want to help people feel, look and move better.
-
I love what I do and always blown away by the results, relationships and and confidence built along the way both personally and with very special individuals.
-
Why special ? Because everyone walked through that door on their own to do something more, make a change and that is a special moment.
-
Are you ready to walk through the door?

‘Old keys don’t open new doors.’
-
Because something worked in the past does not mean it will work in the present. What got you here might not take you to the next stage.
-
Movement is the key to discovery, don’t be afraid to unlock your potential.
-
Many people will tell you it can’t be done or put you off an idea because it doesn’t work in their life.
-
Take back the power and turn the key.

Step forward with confidence and the wind.
-⁣
But on which side? ⁣
-⁣
Single leg work has a mass of advantages and I believe should be included in all programmes and rehab sessions. ⁣
-⁣
We all have a favourite side or more dominant side but the importance comes down to the movement and strength on both sides. ⁣
-⁣
Single leg work gets to work on the smaller surrounding areas and a quick diagnostic of what’s needing more work. ⁣
- ⁣
There is many forms/ drills and exercises available but here is a few favourites being demonstrated with ⁣
-⁣
This can also be performed without kit using arm drivers and replicating the same sequence. The balance work also helps with more proprioception awareness. ⁣
-⁣
Give it a go and let me know how it feels between the two sides. If you have any further questions comment below or DM.⁣
-⁣
Would also advise trying this barefoot or wearing minimum/shoes ( in video) to get a real feel of what’s going on throughout the sequence. ⁣

I exercise to provide a better life for me and my family.
-
Lead by example, showcasing that being activ and healthy can provide exciting experiences.
-
See new things and just keep exploring and evolving.
-
And of course stop and take in the view.

Find your movement.
-
The movement that wants you to do more.
The movement that can be consistent.
The movement that is specific for you.
The movement that expresses you.
The movement that is moving you forward.
The movement that is reducing pain.
-
Now go and do that movement and do it well.

Look where you’re going.
-
Easy to get distracted and keep looking back or watching the noise surrounding you.
-
Eyes up front so you can see where you’re going.

What do you train/move for?
-
Common question and sometimes the one most people hesitate on answering. Too many times people are pushed in a direction they don’t really want to go with their training.
-
What do you really want from your training? If it’s personal to you the answer will always be right.
-
Go the direction that stands out the most or means the most to YOU.
-
Few examples of the things people train for that I work with.....
Being able to ski with my wife.
Hill walking with my daughter.
Taking part in sports day with my kids.
Feeling confident in my body again.
Always wanted to run a 10k for me.
Sick of being out of breath and feeling weak.
Life and the challenges it throws at you.
Move more / enjoy moving.
Do what I want to do.
-
Left or right ? What’s your direction? Comment below....
