Reina urgently needs a new home or we will have to bring her back to Spain, to live in a kennel 😢. Reina needs a home without other pets, in a rural or quiet environment, far from the stress of a big city, where she has lived but her anxiety increased until her adopter couldn't take it anymore and asked us to pick her up, after 2 years adopted 😫. We do not know the reason for the change in her behavior because here she lived perfectly with more than 30 different dogs, including cats and there was never a problem with her, then her adopter adopted a new dog, a puppy, last year, and also they were OK. But last summer she had a serious stomach twist, from which she managed to recover after several weeks and then something changed... We don't know what could have happened, besides hunger, she is now very possessive of her food and her things in front of her to other animals. With people she is truly wonderful, docile, calm and affectionate, she just wants to be next to her person, lying down, relaxed and feel safe, I think that having lost or feeling abandoned by 2 owners has made her feel insecure and out of place, she just needs someone who also wants a faithful companion by her side and she would be perfect for that. She is a very large and strong dog, but she does well on a leash, is obedient to commands and does not need long exercise. She is 5 years old, her vaccinations are up to date and she is healthy, although she needs to regain weight and muscle, because in the last few months she has suffered a lot of stress. Having to take her from her home and not having an alternative family for her, at that time, we had to take her to a rehabilitation center that was recommended to us, there in the UK, to be able to assess her behavior and find the right family for her needs. But this has been worse for everyone, since they have not been able to solve any of her problems, she has simply lived alone in a kennel, without socializing with other dogs, during those 3 months that she was there and she has also lost many kg of weight and all the muscle building of her hind legs, as well as creating a real financial problem for us, since we couldn't pay the more than £600 a month, that it cost to keep her there and for which we had to ask for help. She is now in a very temporary foster care, for a month, while we try to change and save her sad story. Diana is a hound breed.She is barely a years old and has already been abandoned.Her character is adorable,affectionate ..very sweet.
She is good with dogs,cats and excellent with people.She is medium size and can travel.Shevis in the North of Spain
