Why I Became A S&C Coach?
I grew up doing martial arts; judo, Muay Thai, and MMA.
The areas that I felt I needed help with the most was strength & conditioning.
When it came to the gym, I didn’t know what to do.
I used to go into the gym, lift heavy weights, and run a few times per week: thinking that’s enough to prepare for a fight.
I didn’t have a lot of knowledge when it came to S&C, and I feel others have felt the same way.
I speak to a lot of fighters now, and many of them don’t have the proper structure in place.
Some are training like bodybuilders to prepare for a fight.
My goal is to help fighters overcome this problem.
I take the guesswork out, and I provide the proper structure to your training.

Pre Workout Meal Tips For Fighters
1. Aim For 1g of carb x body weight in KG (1 hour before)
Example: 80kg person will consume 80g of carbs
2. Consume easily digestible carbs before training
Example: bagels, bananas, honey, cereal, syrup.
3. Stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water before, during, and after training.

If I had a fight in the next 12 weeks, here’s how I would map out my training…
The purpose of the s&c program is to enhance your performance, and to help you walk into the cage at your best.
The program has to be tailored towards the fight, and you have to work through different phases of training.
The first phase of my program, I would be looking to develop maximum strength, and power.
The reason why I do this early in the program is because the strength & power that I develop in the first month of my program, will still benefit me in the fight that’s 12 weeks away.
In the last 6-8 weeks, I would be focusing on more sports specific training.
The phase of training at this point is going to help replicate the feeling in the cage.
This is where you want to develop power endurance, strength endurance, speed, agility, reaction time, etc.
Doing these phases of training nearer to your fight, is going to help you feel sharp, and develop relentless cardio.

Hey 👋 I’m Jason, I am an online personal trainer who helps amateur mma fighters 🤼♂️
I have been around martial arts since I was a kid.
I started judo when I was a kid, and competed at a high level all the way up til I was around 19.
In that time I achieved my 2nd Dan black belt, and won countless competitions. My best medal was a bronze at the British Championships.
When I was 19, I tore my ACL, and that put an end to my judo career.
Once, I fully healed, I wanted to train in MMA!
I was training full time! I trained morning, and evening, every day (mon-fri).
Training included; Muay Thai, bjj, wrestling, mma, S&C.
Before I competed in MMA, I started doing Muay Thai fights. I had around 3 inter clubs, and then had another 4 Muay Thai fights, winning them all!
After having a few fights in Muay Thai, it was time to step into the cage.
I ended up having an mma fight, but then stop competing because of lockdown.
Now I only focus on coaching!
I now help amateur fighters with their S&C, and nutrition.
I can help you because I have experienced, what you’re about to experience.
I know what it’s like to prepare for a fight, and I know what’s involved.
I have created a specific program designed for amateur mma fighters.
