Hitting a wall after lunch? Brain fog, flat, no energy?
It’s not willpower. It’s your lunch.
In TCM, summer is small intestine season — the organ of discernment. Its job is to sort what nourishes you and send it to the brain. Ultra-processed food gives it nothing to work with, so your brain gets fog.
If afternoons are your problem, make lunch lighter, more nutritious, and more in-season.
SAVE this for your next lunch reset.

You eat healthy but still bloated by 3pm?
It’s not always the food. It’s how you eat it.
Before your next meal:
Sit. No TV, no scroll.
One big exhale.
10 slow breaths.
Chew every single mouthful.
You digest in rest and digest mode, not rush mode.
Follow for more calm gut rituals that actually work.

Thanks to who gave me this incredible gift. Something brought me so much joy this weekend I had to share it.
I visited our Stirling Yoga teacher training, they’re nearly finished, next intake starts in September. At the end of my session, one of the students gifted me these.
She has hand-made cards for the 8 limbs of yoga, mapped through all the seasons — spring, summer, late summer — detail on one side, poses on the other.
This is what seasonal yoga is about. You take the teachings and make them yours.
I am so grateful for this community and how you interpret what we do. Thank you.

What brought you joy this weekend? Comment below, I read every one.

Early Summer joy feeling low or distant
This is the season to ask yourself four questions.
What form of exercise makes you happy. Who makes you happy. How do you make yourself feel happy. Where do you get your joy. Early Summer is built for connection, first with your own body, then with others. When you balance an overthinking head with a feeling body, you become aware of what you actually need.
Save this and answer just one question today. Which one hit you

Early Summer: POV you found the creator
Follow for my weekly seasonal shifts, I created this with in the 90s.
Right now, it’s time for skin, fascia and hydration. That’s your connective tissue, the living bubble wrap under your skin.
My three keepers: quality filtered water with a pinch of good sea salt, hydrate and moisturise daily, and gentle movement.
You don’t need to punish your body for it. Be gentle, be kind, hydrate regularly.
I share one practice like this every week. Save this for later and download my free Early Summer Guide via the link in bio.

Restless. Snappy. Sleep gone weird. Welcome to spring. 🌿
Most people expect spring to feel like fresh energy. Then it shows up as a short fuse and a 3am wake-up, and they assume something’s wrong with them.
Nothing’s wrong with you. You’re in Wood season.
In seasonal yoga, this is the rising energy of spring, the same fuel that becomes motivation can also show up as agitation when it has nowhere to go. Your body is waking up from winter and looking for direction.
The move isn’t to push harder. It’s to ground first.
Try it tonight:
Slow inhale.
Longer exhale.
One gentle twist, or a side bend.
That’s the whole practice.
Save this for the next evening you feel wired-but-tired and tell me in the comments: what’s one word for how spring feels in your body right now?
I’m taking you through all five seasons this way. Wood is just where we start.

🌱 It’s finally here… the 21-Day Spring Experience!

I may have timed this with Easter… mostly because, like spring itself, it’s taken us a little while to wake up 😄

You know that feeling…
Still a bit chilly, not quite full spring… but then suddenly little green shoots, a bit more light, and you think “okay… here we go.”

That’s exactly what this is.

A gentle reset after winter to help you:
✨ Clear your mind, body & space
✨ Lift your energy (without forcing it!)
✨ Find clarity and direction for what’s next

No overwhelm. No long sessions.
Just a few minutes a day to slowly build momentum like nature does 🌿

By the end, you’ll feel lighter, clearer, and ready to move forward with purpose (and maybe even enjoy the sunshine when it finally arrives ☀️)

Let’s grow into this next season… slowly, steadily… and fingers crossed a little warmer 😅🌸
