Happy New Year to all our clients at Unite!
Let’s get strong in 2026!
Unfortunately these freezing conditions have hit us here at Unite. We’ve had some heating and frozen pipes to begin the year which definitely isn’t how I’d like to begin things this year.
However
The freeze will pass.
The pipes will unfreeze.
The heat will return.
In the meantime
Let’s get after it.
Let’s push hard.
So bring your water bottles full and you’re layers thick and let’s get ready to make 2026 the year of achieving all those goals.
Look forward to seeing you all.

It’s been a busy summer here at Unite Fitness! Our previous lead coach Alex has handed the baton of running this space over to me – and so I wanted to dedicate a bit of space to letting you know a more about me.
I became a personal trainer back in 2018. Before then, I had completed a sports science degree from the University of Glasgow, so I’ve got both academic and work experience in all things related to fitness.
I believe in the power of feeling strong to be strong. To me physical strength isn’t about being able to do an amazing 1 rep max on your deadlift. It’s about being able to build capacity to lift heavy shopping well in to your eighties, keep your balance on a ladder and squat low when you’re weeding the flower beds. Don’t get me wrong, if your goal is to deadlift twice your body weight, run a marathon or make sure you feel confident on your wedding day then we will absolutely work towards that. But more than anything I’m here to help you make the most of what your body can do - because after all you only get one.
Some of my clients have achieved incredible things on their fitness journey – and I can only take part of the credit. Their dedication and resilience has seen them make it to the GB Masters finals for Ultimate Frisbee, lose 4 stone over a 12 month timeframe, or overcome mental and physical disabilities to become the strongest version of themselves. We worked together, figured out the training plan and the tweaks to things outside the gym. Then they put in the hard work and made their goals a reality.
Unite is a welcoming space shared myself and my fellow coaches .ngparts and – so you receive semi-exclusive training, unlike any mainstream gym. I provide a welcome pack that includes a pack of Spartan protein bars in a flavour of your choice and a branded hoodie – a wee token of my appreciation for you starting your fitness journey with me.
So if you’re looking for a regular plan to move your body, shift your perspective and move closer to your goals – then let’s chat!
