We received some sad news last week regarding Edna Docherty, wife of the late Eddie Docherty. Edna was a longtime member of the club until ill health forced her to retire several years ago. Her funeral will take place on Monday 1st June at 11.45 a.m. at Daldowie Crematorium thereafter returning to the Club.

Fantastic day on saturday for the Agnes Fitzpatrick Memorial tournament great turn out and brilliant weather , congratulations to the winners who were from Sandyhills only name I have is Kay Kennedy, runners up Tam Devenny Andy & Tracey Stewart, beaten semi finalists James Hefferland Joyce Kelly Kenny Malone and the Tollcross team skipped by Tony Doyle. Massive thanks to Gillian Fitzpatrick who organised this day in memory of her mum and to all the guys behind the scenes who worked tirelessly all day to ensure this was a success

This morning the club was saddened to hear that one of our long standing members Hugh Dougan has passed away , our thoughts and prayers are with his daughters and family at this sorrowful time.

The club was saddened to hear of the passing of one of our retired members Helen Flannigan. Helen was a member for many years and actively involved in the Whitefield until ill health forced her to retire. She ran afternoon tea dances which were a great success as was her knitting bee and who could forget her tablet! A genuinely lovely lady who will be sadly missed. Helen's funeral takes place in St Brides RC Church at 10 a.m. Monday 13th April followed by Westburn Cemetary at 11 a.m. thereafter returning to the club.

The club wishes to pass on our sincere condolences to family and friends of the late Jackie Craig. Jackie was not only a Past President of Whitefield BC but due to his services within the club was granted honourary membership many years ago. If you wish to pay your respects Jackie's Funeral is on Thursday 11th September at 1pm South Lanarkshire Crematorium, returning afterwards to Whitefield BC

On behalf of the family, Birrell Corrance Funeral Directors, Cambuslang, have been asked to announce the funeral details of the late Mr. Jamie Malone, who passed away peacefully at home Surrounded by his loving family on 15th August 2025. Jamie will be received into St Bride's RC church on Wednesday 27th August at 6pm, Funeral mass on 28th August at 10am,thereafter to Westburn Cemetery arriving at 11.30am. to which all family and friends are respectfully invited.
