First round ties for the gents matchplay singles are required to be completed on or before 7 June

This Saturday it's the return of our annual Yellow Ball Open

THIS IS A LADIES & GENTS EVENT

The event will be played in teams of 3 or 4 players. The best 2 scores from each hole will count towards team scores.

Teams will also mark their yellow ball score, yellow ball can also be one of the counting scores if applicable.
The yellow ball must be played by alternate players per hole and by the nominated player only for the duration of nominated hole.
There will be a prize for the team returning the lowest overall Yellow ball score. Countback will be used if no yellow balls returned.

There will also be individual prizes for nearest the pin & longest drive.

Entry is priced at £5pp. Visitors are welcome

We had our inaugural Dougalston Ryder Cup today.
10 teams battled it out over the front 9 holes playing as foursomes, followed by singles from holes 10 to 18

Team USA won 3 of the first 4 foursomes to lead 3-1 before Team Europe rallied to win the final 6 pairings to lead 7-3 at the end of the Foursomes.

The first 4 matches of the singles finished 2-2, with Europe now leading 9-5 before a USA revival saw them win the next 4 to tie the match at 9-9

A 1up win for K. Sharp put Europe back in front before wins for Bob Batchelor & Kai McCahill put Team USA ahead for the first time at 11-10

Europe won match 12 to tie again before USA took 3 points to Europe's 1 from the next 4 matches to lead 14-12 with 3 matches to play.

Victory for Team USA was secured as Craig Clark beat brother Billy Clark 4&2 to give Team USA an unassailable 15-12 lead.

The last 2 matches finished 1.5- 0.5 in favour of Team Europe to give a final score of 15.5 - 13.5 as Team USA took the honour of becoming our 1st Dougalston Ryder Cup.
