With no small measure of pride we can announce that Lara Elliott has this morning successfully passed her shodan grading after a gruelling 2 hours covering but not limited to:
Kihon, kata, bunkai oyo and henka, technical knowledge, asymmetric and all in sparring, groundwork, throws, and of course padwork. Thanks to Shihan Jamie Gray and Shihan Colin Steel for being part of the grading panel and ensuring the standard was high.

This year we will be welcoming Seonaid to our committee as our Well-being officer. Seonaid has been with us for two years now and we hope to see her develop even further with the club.

This year we are welcoming back our secretary Andrew who is returning to his role from last year and will be helping us throughout the upcoming year.
Here is a quick rundown of what you can expect at our sessions throughout the week ! we offer a mixed bag of practically application and standard karate training.

Come along on Friday 19th of September at Strathclyde Sport in the SSPE rooms from 6pm-8pm. get a taste of what it’s like at strath Karate for FREE. This session is completely beginner friendly so no matter what level of experience you have may it be none or your already a black belt you are welcome !
🥋Wear whatever you are comfortable in and that allows you to move freely and make sure to bring a drink to stay hydrated 💪
