🚨 CLUB STATEMENT 🚨

It is with much regret that I need to write this but sadly Kilpatrick AFC has folded as a football team!

With ongoing issues within the club, lack of players, funds and background changes it came to a point that the club had no option but to shut up shop after 3 years as a team!

The team was founded back in 2023 and had some many highs and many lows but sadly this was a low that the club couldn’t escape from this time round!

It’s with great disappointment that it has came to this, we especially feel sorry for the boys who where there week in week out and just wanted to play football!

We would like to take this opportunity though to thank every one of the players who passed through the door for KP, everyone who came down and watched and supported us in our three years. any one of the management or background staff who took time out of their lives to run and manage the club, our sponsors over the years for allowing the team to grow and get new kits for example and stay afloat!

We would like to thank the Glasgow & District Sunday Football Championship also for allowing us to play under the banner for the last three years. We had some excellent contents against teams and we will sorely miss the competition we had every Sunday.

We don’t know what the future holds for some of the boys, hopefully everyone keeps on playing in some capacity and this isn’t the end for them!

As a club we did all we could but in the end it was too much, lack of players, funds and willingness has brought us to this point which is a sad way to go out!
