We are absolutely thrilled to report that our Murder Mystery evening on Friday, 11th September, was a phenomenal success! It was a true delight to welcome so many wonderful guests who thoroughly relished the exquisite dinner prepared by chef Tony and were impeccably entertained by the brilliant TentPegs Murders. The turnout surpassed our highest expectations, creating an atmosphere of sheer joy and excitement.

Congratulations to our four man team of David McClement, Alistair Forrest, Stuart McNaught and Alex Meiklejohn on winning the DGU InterClub Knockout final last weekend. Congratulations also go to junior member Lucas Farquhar who won the Junior Gold Handicap competition, pictured receiving his trophy from our Vice Captain and Past President of the DGU, Sam Bolton. Well done also to junior member Clark Kerr who won the Junior Silver Handicap competition for his home club Milngavie GC.

Gather your sharpest friends, your nosiest relatives, and that one person who watches far too many crime dramas, then join us for a night of mystery, mayhem, and questionable detective work.

Family Foursomes FunDay was a fantastic event that brought families together for a day full of fun, laughter, and friendly competition. Enjoyable for all ages, creating a welcoming atmosphere from start to finish, despite the weather bringing the Fun Day back inside. It was wonderful to see so many families connecting, making memories, and enjoying quality time together. A truly enjoyable day that we would highly recommend and look forward to attending again next year.

Bring your family and let’s par‑tee — because nothing says bonding like trying not to shank it in front of your relatives. From tiny swings to tall tales, it’s a tee‑rrific day for the whole clan — expect laughs, snacks, and questionable golf advice from every generation.

Warning: Family Foursomes may cause competitive cousins, overconfident grandparents, and at least one “fore‑get it, we’re blaming the wind” moment.
