The UK’s ONLY SCQF-approved course by SQA for dance educators on injury prevention and well-being for dancer’s.
When your classes are filled with overworked dancers
It welcomes unnecessary and unwanted injury and burnout risks into the class
Research has shown that fatigue is one of the leading causes of injury among dancers
You might make training harder and more intense with the intention to push your dancers
Because we’ve been taught that ‘practice makes perfect’, right?
But practicing tired movement creates tired ex*****on
With a side of compromised technique which can be a pathway to unnecessary and unavoidable injury
If you want to build a clear framework for the term ahead that is built on a training principle used in elite sport, then you’ll want to join me on the 2nd August 6-7.30pm for the online workshop PLAN YOUR STRONGEST TERM YET

An elite training approach to the new term
We see it every year … return after summer
And everyone’s excited to get back to class
New routines, new goals, fresh comp season, new training year
And with that excitement, as a dance teacher you ‘start the term strong’ with some intense training
More ‘conditioning’, more tech drills, extra rehearsals for solo’s
You want them to ‘feel the burn’
And part of you is trying to make up for the ‘stamina and strength’ you think they’ve lost over the summer holidays
And this is the exact reason that you and your dancers are exhausted by half term
It’s also the reason unwanted injury risks enter your classes
Research sugggests injury risks can increase during transition periods, such as returning after a break or moving into a more intense rehearsal/performance phase
The injury risk comes when training demands increase faster than the body’s ability to adapt to the stress on it
So if you’d like to build a bulletproof term using an elite training principle that we teachinside the Dance Teachers Training Academy, you’ll want to be online at our PLAN YOUR STRONGEST TERM YET workshop
