Killearn 10k yesterday. I love this race! 💕
Great to see so many Bella buddies & to be back on the trails again.
When I signed up for this back in December, I was recovering from a plantar plate tear. I was finally starting to feel good after 6 months of no running & thought I’d definitely be ready for this by June. It was painful to walk, to do downward dog & to stand on my tippy toes when it first happened. I had started run/walking again but got overexcited & over did it over Christmas & New Year & set myself back. 🤦🏼♀️
But I’ve been focussing on weight training & building up my strength & I think that held me in good stead yesterday. I may have been slow but I felt good & I felt strong. That’s something your watch is never going to tell you.
Thanks to the race organisers & volunteers for putting on another fantastic event & thanks to & for keeping me fit & strong.
