Congratulations to group 5 for taking the win this week! Together we’ve walked and ran the equivalent of Glasgow to the France/Switzerland border, with GCU Women's Hockey.

Congratulations to Team 4 for winning week 1 of the runwalk challenge, with GCU Women's Hockey. A solid effort from everyone saw the totaliser hit over 600km! Get out this week and clock up the miles to be in with a chance of winning some prizes.

Quite late to sharing this but in December GCU Hockey completes our first ever charity week. This week was a chance for our club to give back to the community and we had 3 events over the week that engaged with charity in a different way.

At our Monday training we had a collection for a local food bank. On Wednesday we did a charity shop social which encouraged people to buy something from a charity shop and wear it for the night out. On Friday at Rec hockey we collected donations for Age UK. We also all bought innocent smoothies, as they are supporters of Age UK and they donate proceeds to support the great work Age UK do.

Thanks to everyone who came along and supported these events. Thanks to everyone who donated! We hope to make this a yearly thing!

An interesting game for the invincibles this evening, yet of course we stayed on top. Captain Birds Eye (Keir) managed to fire in one goal, with Team Boy Jamieson scoring one and stealing one from McConnell giving him a total of 2 screamers for the evening. McConnell fired in the minuscule number of 6 goals to the back of the net, which we can all agree is a disappointing result. With Euan the Labrador Meikle fending off all but 2 shots, the boys in blue ended with a 9-2 scoreline. S**t Shirts celebration to continue.
