The Holytown Colts Ladies are now recruiting experienced players to strengthen the squad for the new season.

If you’re committed, competitive, and looking to be part of a great team environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Pre-season training starts back on Thursday 18th June from 7:30pm–9:00pm at Keir Hardie Sports centre Holytown, with games every second Friday in the 9s league.

Mon the Colts! 🔴⚫

Our ladies made the trip to Biggar tonight to face Clydesdale, battling through a scorching 20° heat with determination from the first whistle.

They started strong, pressing high and were rewarded early when Abigail Hendry capitalised to open the scoring. The second goal followed after a brilliant delivery from Fern Horner (who is sponsored by net zero fund management), with her powerful strike taking a deflection off a defender and finding the back of the net, giving Holytown Colts a deserved 2–0 lead at the break.

The second half saw continued pressure and plenty of shots on target, but the heat began to take its toll and the finishing just wouldn’t come. Despite that, the effort, work rate, and quality on display from our women was outstanding throughout.

A special mention goes to Player of the Match, captain Vikki Elliot ( who is sponsored by prestige clockwork cleans), who led by example with grit, determination, solid defending, and even drove forward to get a shot on target herself.

A huge three points secured, pushing our ladies up to second in the table with just two games left to play. 💪⚽

A tough one for our ladies last night as they suffered a sore defeat away from home at Guy’s Meadow. Despite creating plenty of chances, it just wasn’t our night in front of goal, with a number of opportunities going narrowly begging. Cumbernauld capitalised late on, snatching the win in the dying seconds from a corner kick.

Plenty of positives to take, and with three games still to go, everything is still to play for. This team won’t go down without a fight 💪we go again in a fortnights time.
