Iโ€™d forgotten just how much I love boxing training. ๐Ÿ’• ๐ŸฅŠ
My attentions recently have turned to running & Hyrox training (which I also love) but this is where my journey in fitness began & I have to say, it felt soooo good to have the gloves on again. Itโ€™s been too long. Even though Iโ€™m on hols, I still like to train & try out new places. Live like a local - why not? has been the perfect, offering various options for holidaymakers.
Boxing is PT Zacโ€™s USP here in Barbados, so we decided to have a few sessions. They were nice & tough, just how I like it, especially in the sweltering heat. Lots of 2 mins rounds, on & off - non stop - brilliant. ๐Ÿ”ฅ ๐Ÿ˜ฐ ๐ŸฅŠ ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ
If you havenโ€™t tried boxing for fitness - you should.

Here are few of the benefits for this kind of training:

HYROX Glasgow is on! So, from today, that means about 10 weeks to get race-ready, but listen up, even if you didnโ€™t manage to get tix this time, why not use this time-frame to focus on getting fit AF & start 2025 like you mean business?. ๐Ÿ’ฅ ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ ๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿ‘Š Itโ€™s a win-win either way.

(Iโ€™m aiming to run this class on a Thursday but time/day may change as we go along due to my kidsโ€™ busy schedules๐Ÿฅด)
Sessions - 45 mins & will vary each week
What to expect is a mix of:
๐Ÿ‘Š 10-15 mins flexibility & mobility work with mini bands- we need to work to prevent injuries, and also prepare the body for what itโ€™s about to be put through. ๐Ÿ˜Š
๐Ÿ‘Š Hill runs and reps - Hyrox is 50% running and dem hills help you get faster
๐Ÿ‘Š Functional exercises - squats, lunges, burpees
๐Ÿ‘Š Strength exercises - deadlifts, back squats, front squats
๐Ÿ‘Š Plyometrics - box jumps, resisted long jumps, lateral jumps
๐Ÿ’ช A combo of the above will help you build power, speed, stamina & strength - key elements to not only feel fitter but to help you become race-ready for any Hyrox competitions you have entered. Interested?
