Rouken Glen 10K

As many of you are aware the FoR has not run since 2019, we are working hard to put a race on this year and this is likely to be in September, subject to us obtaining all the permit applications and licenses. We have been challenged by clashes of dates for the historical race date, the summer holidays season and the music and food festivals in the park through August. We are a new race committee and are finding our feet here and appreciate your patience whilst we finalise what is achievable. Thanks for your understanding…

Happy New Year Runners, I’m delighted in our 40th year we will be hosting the Giffnock North Festival of Running, after a covid induced absence.
As we look towards our event in June I’m very much aware of the changing landscapes of events and races around our historical date.

A belated thank you to everyone who participated in Thursday's Festival of Running, whether you were running, racing or marshaling.

This year we had more runners across all three races than ever before, more partnership involvement on the day and greater community participation supporting with the Scottish Youth Police Volunteers in attendance cheering the runners on and helping the marshalls.

With continued strain and pressures on public services we encounter tougher parameters to work within each year so it becomes an even bigger task to organise and host events like these....But we love doing it! So we hope you'll join us again next year .
