Happy 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
This Pride month we are striving to increase inclusivity in squash. GUSC is committed to making sure all our members feel welcome and comfortable on and off the court. To celebrate the LGBTQ+ sporting community, we will be posting throughout the month highlighting sportspeople that inspire us the most.
Wishing you all a fantastic month!

It’s that time of the year again!!!
We are back again and ready to make some questionable decisions with our facial hair 🥸
Last year the club made a fantastic and raised £1720! This time round we reckon we can beat that and make it to £2000.
Some of us have decided they’d do a better job running 60km over the month instead of attempting to grow a tache but we’re all pitching how we can!
The faces are shaved… the taches are ready… the running shoes are waiting… the mullets are out…
If you’d like to donate you can using this link: https://movember.com/t/gu-squash-club?mc=1
All donations are very much appreciated as it is a cause very dear to our hearts. Please also share this amongst your family and friends!
As always,
Love and nicks xoxo

If you have already paid don't hesitate to get in touch and we can sort it out.

🍕 SOCIAL SQUASH 🍕
Every Friday 7-9pm all abilities are welcome to come along to the courts for some games and some chat. Everyone gets mixed in together regardless of ability so you'll get to play a wide range of people. After this we head over to Bank Street Bar for FREE pizza. Sign ups are once again posted weekly in the Facebook Group.
🎉 SOCIALS 🎉
We have socials on Thursday evenings roughly every 3 weeks, these are a great opportunity to meet new faces in the club and make some great memories. Keep an eye out for the event pages being posted in the Facebook group.
🏆 TEAMS 🏆
If you're interested in playing for our teams message our Team Convenor: Evan Goodman. We will be holding trials very soon so keep an eye out for posts about that. Don't worry if you can't make trials, you can join the teams throughout the year as well.
If you have any further questions, feel free to send an email to [email protected]

HAPPY FRESHERS WEEK!!!
A huge welcome (or welcome back) to our future and returning members! It's been a tough year and a half away from the courts (and our beloved Bank St pizza). We're very happy to announce that we're finally back to normal.
We'll be at the Sports Fayre today and tomorrow so come along to the quad at the main building and say hi!
TASTER SESSIONS:
We have taster sessions on Friday and Sunday 12-4pm located in the Stevenson Building on level 6. These will run every half hour and are a perfect introduction to the sport. We can supply all the equipment you need so all you need to bring is standard sports kit.
The link to sign up to the Taster Sessions is here:

Very excited for this!!! It’s a great way to get some fun competitive sport in while we wait for the return of Squash 💛🖤
Hello!!!
First of all, a massive welcome (or welcome back) to Glasgow and GU Squash 🙂
Here’s everything you need to know about the getting involved in the club this year:
Our main point of contact will be through the Facebook group Glasgow Uni Squash, here you’ll be updated about everything that’s happening with the club. We have a second Facebook group called GU Squash Club Chat for the fun side of the club. There’s also our Instagram page where we’ll be posting lots of content.
As you might have guessed the club is going to be very different this year, unfortunately due to government regulations the squash courts can’t be opened yet. This means we can’t run most of our normal sessions yet but we will keep you all updated when anything changes.
We do however have a weekly strength and conditioning session available on Friday evenings in studio 1 so at least we’ll be in shape when we do get back on court. We’ll be posting the details soon so you can get signed up.
We pride ourselves on the fantastic social side of our club, sadly due to current rules we can’t have any in-person socials but we’re working hard on alternatives so you can still meet other members of the club.
Our membership fee would normally be £30 for the year, however as we are uncertain what sessions we’ll be able to offer this year, we are not charging membership at the moment. Once the courts open we’ll start asking for memberships at a reduced depending on what we can offer.
If you have any other questions about or just want to know more about squash please feel free to message our captain Andrew Chrumka or secretary Alex Hull or email [email protected].
Hope to see you all soon!
Love and nicks xoxo 💛🖤

Happy Freshers Week! 💛🖤
We are delighted to announce that Glasgow University Squash has been awarded Scottish Squash Club of the Year for the 2019/20 season.
This is a reflection of many years of hard work from past and existing comittee members, and we give our thanks to all members who have contributed over the recent years.
Though this award is obviously tremendous, the true reward is seeing the massive participation and enjoyment of squash, and we hope to see that continue.
Hopefully we can get back on the court together soon to celebrate!
