For many years, our business journey was about survival.

We excitedly opened our doors for our first class in 2014, only to get a bit of a shock when two people turned up.

It took years of learning, trying, failing, adapting and figuring things out as we went. We had no roadmap or experience of running a business. A car sales man and a school teacher turned yoga instructor, all we had was a belief in what we were building and a willingness to keep going.

Being named Best Fitness Business in Scotland at the Scottish Business Awards ten years meant a lot. 90% of new businesses fail in the first ten years, and honestly, I’m not surprised.

From two people in our first class to hundreds of people coming through our doors every week, it’s been quite a journey and an incredible ride.

We’re eternally grateful to everyone who has trained with us, worked with us or supported us over the years. Beyond excited for what comes next.

Erika recently celebrated 20 years of practising yoga.

To mark the occasion, three family members flew in from Europe and the States to practise with her, a pretty special way to celebrate.

Last week, she joined us at Hot Yoga Nation last week to practise with Felicity, who is one of her absolute favourite instructors.

We loved having you practise with us, Erika.

Dancing can support your mental and physical health in powerful ways—swipe through to see how.

Take this as your research-backed permission slip to book that dance class or turn up the music in your home.

PS: Keep an eye out for Sara's Ecstatic Dance event at the end of October.

To the untrained eye, it might seem that the body is doing all of the work.
In reality, the pose is only a vehicle to focus your mind.

Because of this, Yoga has an extraordinary calming effect.
Practice in the evening or before bed, and notice how your sleep quality changes.

How are you experiencing the soothing effect of yoga?

What if giving your life more meaning isn’t about changing your life completely, but paying more attention to the life you already have?

So much of our time is spent thinking about what’s next.

The next thing to achieve.
The next problem to solve.
The next place to get to.

Mindfulness gives us the opportunity to pause and actually be where we are.

To notice the conversation you’re having.
The walk you’re taking.
The person sitting beside you.
The feeling in your body.
The small moments that would otherwise pass unnoticed.

Meaning isn’t always found in the big moments.

Sometimes it’s found in being fully present for the ordinary ones.

Because a life that is paid attention to can feel very different from one that is simply lived on autopilot.

Life can be busy, stressful and tiring, leaving you feeling physically tense and mentally drained.

Stress doesn’t just make you feel bad. Being in a constant state of stress can have a serious impact on your health. Research indicates that up to 80% of doctor visits may have stress as an underlying factor.

Our classes give you a chance to pause, move, breathe and reconnect with yourself. Whether you want to feel stronger, clear your head, challenge yourself or simply feel better, you’ll find a welcoming community and a space designed to help you feel your best.

New clients can try our classes for just £1 a day.

What you get out of an IHP class is so much more than "the burn" 🔥

- Mental fortitude
- Shared energy
- Time out for yourself
- And yes, of course, a stronger body.
