Registration is now open for the 2021 Glasgow Yonex Junior Championships — Glasgow & North Strathclyde Badminton Group The 2021 Yonex Glasgow Junior Championships will take place in September 2021 in Glasgow, for all junior age groups.

SATURDAY SPOTLIGHT 🔦🏸 | We run an annual international tournament for Under 13s and 15s, Glasgow International Youth Badminton. Previous winners have went on to represent their country at international tournaments and tours.
We haven’t been able to run the tournament since 2019 due to the pandemic, but we hope to bring it back again when it’s safe to do so:

The most recent lockdown has stopped us being able to run events and get us on court playing the sport we love. So instead, we’ve taken this time to build a new website and plan how we can best share the news and updates for all things badminton across the Glasgow area.

Event Cancelled
It is with regret that Glasgow and North Strathclyde Group have taken the decision to cancel the Glasgow International Youth Badminton Team and Individual Championships 2020. The event was due to be held in Glasgow from 15th – 17th May 2020.
After much discussion and advice from our stakeholders we are sorry to announce the cancellation of our 2020 tournament.
This decision was not easy as we understand the disappointment, however given the current uncertainty surrounding the Coronavirus and potential risks in the coming weeks and months we could not go ahead with the event.
Whilst we are aware of the position throughout UK and Europe we require to ensure that there is no health risk to potential players, coaches and families travelling to Scotland and could not guarantee this.
The Glasgow and North Strathclyde Group hope you understand our position in this unprecedented time and look forward to welcoming you back to Glasgow, Scotland for our 2021 event.

Glasgow International Youth Badminton Team and Individual Championships 2020.
Last year we welcomed players from Cyprus, England, Germany, Hungary, India, Ireland, Netherlands, Trinidad and Tobago, Northern Ireland, Poland, Spain, Wales and Scotland. It is our intention to see as many strong National Teams and Clubs competing in Glasgow. Come and Join Us!
