The church on Blackbury Junction, which is nearly ready for ModelRail Scotland 2026. The model was originally built in the 1970s and this is the fifth layout that has featured it. The tower was replaced about 20 years ago as the original was unfortunately lost during a clubroom move.

Hi Guys
Well it's nearly here, next weekend is the one we've all been waiting for.
I hope you all enjoy this year's show.
We have 14 layouts, a model boat show, 5 traders, Scottish Railfans and a demonstration of 4mm modelling.
Don't forget if your feeling peckish there is a cafe serving hot and cold snacks and drinks.
If you'd like to see something else in next year's show please bring it to my attention and I'll see what I can do.

Lockerbie Container Train
Something we have fought with for many hours are the 8mm Dapol wheelsets on the container flats. So much so that we wouldn't run them at exhibitions as they were too unreliable and kept derailing.
Some modifications to a few wagons have now proved that they can run reliably, and at a better speed too to be more realistic!

The members of Glasgow & West of Scotland Model Railway Club are profoundly saddened by the loss of our club member, Archie Brown.
Archie was well respected in all areas of Railway Modelling, and many members in the club learnt many skills from Archie over the years.
Archie will be remembered fondly for his contributions, and the countless memories he created with us.
We extend our deepest condolences to Archie’s family, friends and loved ones during this difficult time.

It's fair to say that we have been so busy setting up and playing trains with Phoenix Lane at Model Rail Scotland, that we forgot to update you all.
Today is the last day of the exhibition at the SEC, so come along and see us at Stand C12.
