Morning all, world cup fever here now. Lots of folk have the Monday off but we'll be here either celebrating or commiserating on Monday morning. Wishing Monica a very happy birthday and hope that back of yours gives you some respite on your birthday!
Great so many of you are getting holidays this weather as we seem to have forgotten what sunshine is like here. Lippy had another successful West Highland Way walk with friends last week, this time doing it in reverse. However, she did encounter more than a few midgies and rain showers! Well done Lippy. Toni et al off to her annual Dornoch break again, so hope you get some sun to enjoy the beautiful walks there. Safe travels to Elaine who is off to Madrid to see family - hope you have a lovely break. Well done to all the morning walkers and those on a healthy eating regime. Normally it's easier in summer to get both fitter and drop some pounds, but it's tricky trying to overcome the dreich weather. Remember fitness and health are your own personal journey, so don't be distracted by others leading you astray! Get well to all of you under par this week and hoping things resolve themselves sooner. Have a good weekend and keep that focus!

Morning all, a bit of a damp weekend there. Getting near the end of the school year although I believe we have an additional Monday off to celebrate the world cup on 15th? Looking forward to seeing our holiday makers return today and catch up on the chat. Happy holidays to Catherine and Suzanne and hoping you both get a good rest and enjoy some good wine. I met with Janice last week who feels unable to drive over to class for the immediate future, but sends her best to all of you. She misses your company. Thanks to Anne Gin for her amazing deserts she made for us all - the Friday class thanks you Anne! A few of you having child care commitments for your grandchildren recently, so hoping you're back with us on a more regular basis soon. See you all at the barre - weights this week and reps of 100 for your basic set.

Morning all from a damp Bishopbriggs - again! Hopefully it will improve next week. Hope all you holiday makers are enjoying some sunshine and hope Lippy and co are not too wet or midgie bitten on the West Highland Way. A few of you back this week and more of you away. Think this will be our routine throughout the coming months. Toni enjoying a very different holiday in Serbia with friends - apparently they enjoy more alcohol than we do and start the day off with a wee tot! ( To be honest, this may be just Toni, but willing to believe she is merely experiencing the different customs of the country!) Wishing Janice a very happy birthday this week, with many more to come. I am enjoying using al these gardening vouchers you got me for my birthday and finding some more unusual species now. My allotment thanks you too! Get well to all of you wo are having health issues just now - very difficult to keep smiling some days isn't it, when your pain levels are high. Hoping for some improvement soon. Lovely to see both Evelyn after a year and Sandra after a period of ill health - welcome back girls. Well done to the grans and mums who are dealing with the Prom events this week and next - such a big event in young lives now. Hope you all have a lovely weekend and look after yourselves and each other - keep that focus!

Morning all, hope your weekend was relaxing and you are ready for some focus on your classes this week. We're on the small band for our workouts. Great to catch lunch with a few of you on Friday - still using this 70th birthday as an excuse to eat out! Heard from Toni who is loving her time in Serbia and tells me the scenery and the people are lovely. Carla enjoying Ormidale House this weekend. Malaga chilling in Pitlochry. Anne K and Heldo off galavanting to Dublin this week. Dianne and Mary V still in the sun and Mary Doc back from Jersey today. Lippy off to do the West Highland Way again but doing it in reverse. Hope both the weather and the midgies are kind to you. Apologies to Evelyn as I forgot to tell her about a closure last week and she turned up for class. Hopefully see you this week Evelyn? A few of you struggling with back issues, which is very tough. Catherine thinks her plantar fasciitis is finally dissipating after shock therapy. Hope you all improve soon. Keeping moving is the answer to most things I think. Look forward to seeing you all soon.

Morning all, hope you are all enjoying the sunshine this week. Don't think it will last through the weekend but great to get a bit of heat into us all. Still a few of you on holiday, but most of you back with us now. Mary and Eleanor off to Jersey today for the weekend, so enjoy your break ladies. Toni off to Serbia with friends for a week so send us images Toni as it sounds like a really great holiday. The classes have been a bit fragmented this week, so apologies for that, but we're back on track now. Thanks to Jaq for opening the studio in my absence. A few of you had poor medical results the past few weeks, so hoping for better outcomes in the near future. We're missing Mary on our morning walks with this dodgy hip of hers, but recovery takes time and patience. A few weight losses from just increasing daily walking and with no changes in diet so well done girls. Make the most of this good weather by adding in a few extra steps. Enjoy your weekend everyone and keep that focus!

Happy May holiday weekend everyone. Lots of you heading away for a wee break or currently on your travels. We've got Elaine clubbing in Ibiza, Suzanne of to Berlin supporting the Hyrox family, Carol Ann and Eleanor enjoying the sun, V Mary off to Italy for a couple of weeks and Dianne and Marie still enjoying the sun in the Canaries. Carla just back from the latter and looking fabulous. Great you are now finding time for a break from the babysitting duties that feature more than less in your retirement years. I am taking Monday off, but as I have a family bereavement, I have to cancel Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning classes too. Apologies. The good news is that Jaq will open up and you can still get a workout under your belt - you know how to work the coffee machine etc. Get well wishes going out to Fiona and Gillian. Mary now doing her physio exercises after a diagnosis on that dodgy hip. No more walking for you girl, but George is taking you under his wing with alternative morning workouts in the studio. I'm still overwhelmed with your kindness on my big birthday and remain extremely grateful and humbled. Enjoy the break with sunshine forecasted and see you all at some stage next week. Keep that focus!

Morning all from an old lady who is still recovering from a big birthday weekend with family and friends. Ate and drank way too much and paying a price today. Thank you very much to all the classes and individuals who very kindly got me both group and individual gifts. Extremely thoughtful and kind. Today is Lydia's birthday so many happy returns to you. Classes as normal this week but some interruptions next week due to a family bereavement. Weather letting us down this morning, but think we'll still manage a walk and no doubt a quick carry out coffee en route. Mid term weekend again for schools starting this Friday, so probably gran duties for some of us. Traffic issues due to road works continue throughout East Dunbartonshire, so allow time for travel locally. The diversions are wild! No toys this week in class and hip and thigh work against the mirror. Think we're due to increase the reps this week too. Look forward to seeing you all soon. Keep that focus!

Morning all, disappointing week weather wise and pretty cold most mornings for our walks. Welcoming back Monica to our classes and also her friend Susan who has now joined us. Look forward to seeing you both soon girls. Birthday shout out to Jenny for tomorrow and hope you have a great day and enjoy your meal in the evening. Carla and Dianne will be sunning themselves in the Canaries while Toni is back doing another stretch of the Camino. Alison off to London, Portugal and then Spain in the coming weeks. Thinking ahead, I am taking the Monday of the holiday weekend at off, so the morning classes I run that day will be cancelled. Believe there will be good weather that weekend, although this weekend looks a bit better than during this week. Fiona always asking after everyone and appreciates all your kindness. Poor Catherine suffering from a bad bout of planter fasciitis and Mary suffering from a dodgy hip - they're like a matching pair hirpling about, but clearly in pain! However, we hope you both feel better soon. Some of you are now managing to increase your classes and seeing results. Well done to all of you on a fitness and healthy eating regime - so easy to put the weight on in the dreich winter months, but lighter diets and more outdoor exercise in the spring and summer should shed the excess. Have a good weekend and keep that focus!

Morning all, seems like we were away for longer than our 2 nights, but good to get into an established routine again. We had some bad weather in Steornabhagh, which hampered our walking distances. Great to finally make it to the Butt of Lewis though, but walking back part of that trip was brutal, with wind and rain. The hailstones felt like an acid facial against your face, so we all had very rosy cheeks! Looking forward to seeing our holiday girls this week; Anne K and Suzanne were both in Croatia, June in Greece and Helen in Nice and Andrea back too. Think you're off to Italy Anne McP this week and of course Dianne off to Fuerteventura again for a longer break and some good weather. We should all be taking any opportunity to travel while we're still fit and healthy. Classes as normal this week and forgot to welcome Alison last week as no post on Friday when we were away. Great to have you join us Alison and look forward to seeing you in class this week. On that note Ill leave you and see you all shortly. Keep that focus!

Morning all on this beautiful holiday Monday. Hope some of you are still enjoying good weather wherever you are. Anne K is in Croatia and some of you have a long weekend away more locally. Had a great weekend seeing Charlie Rose again and she has gained weight at only 5 days old - constantly wanting fed and a gorgeous wee girl. Congratulations to Adele's 2 boys Ross and David, who nailed the 50k run starting at Fort Augustus. They looked exhausted at the finish line video but great times for them both. Classes on all week as normal but some of us away to complete the Hebridean Way from Thursday to Saturday this week, so no Friday classes unless your key holders will oblige and open the studio for you. Hoping for another dry week so we can get some miles under our belts but no doubt we were spoiled last week. The good thing is we all remove every item of bedding, soft furnishings and towels for drying outside when we get the good weather so no doubt your houses and laundry are all up to date! See you all soon - keep that focus!
