Holiday season is here and the last thing you want is to come back looking like a different person.

The good news is you don't have to choose between enjoying yourself and keeping your progress. You just need a bit of a plan.

Swipe through for exactly what I do on holiday to stay in shape without it taking over 👉

The short version:

🚶 12 to 15k steps a day. You're walking anyway, just be a bit more intentional about it.

🥩 Protein, fruit and veg during the day. Bank your calories for dinner and drinks at night rather than blowing them before you've left the hotel.

💧 4 to 5 litres of water plus electrolytes first and last thing. Kills your appetite, keeps your energy up and makes hangovers significantly more manageable if you're drinking.

🏋️ Gym every other day, 45 to 60 minutes max. Get in, get a pump and get out. Don't overthink it.

Follow these as best you can and you'll walk the line between actually enjoying yourself and not feeling the need to spend a week on the stairmaster when you get home repenting for your sins.

You don't have a fitness problem. You have a structure problem.

You've been here before.

Perfect plan, 7 days a week, meals prepped, no takeaways, no booze, full send.

Works great, for about 2 weeks.

Then the smallest blip like a night out, a bad day at work, a missed session and suddenly the whole thing's ruined so you sack the whole thing off.

Then you wait till Monday, build an even better plan and tell yourself this time it will be different.

But it never is.

You've been setting yourself up for failure for years stuck in the same loop of starting, falling off, stopping and restarting promising yourself every time you'll get a different result.

You don't need a more perfect program, more motivation or to be more disciplined. You need something realistic that's built around your actual life and the support in place to make sure one bad week doesn't turn into you starting all over again.

None of that makes you consistent.

Watching another YouTube video will give you information for a day.

Starting on Monday will give you motivation for a week.

Downloading another free plan will give you structure for about two weeks.

All fine. But none of it fixes the root problem.

You have no accountability when life gets in the way.

You have no one adjusting the plan when work gets busy, you miss a session or the wheels fall off.

So when real life actually happens;

A late night at work. A weekend away. A few bad days in a row.

You stop.

The solution?

Ross messaged me a few days ago and asked:

"Do you really think there's that much of a difference"

I'll let the picture do the talking.

Beyond the fact that he's lost bodyfat, built muscle and made an incredible physical change; the mindset shift for Ross has been one of the biggest transformations I've seen.

From someone that didn't view himself as a gym goer and had very low expectations of his capabilities going into the program, he applied himself from Day 1 and the rest is history.

Ross was honest about when he went off plan, nailed everything that was within his control and didn't stress about things that were outwith it.
