Update on external competitions
Well done to Peter Blair Charlie Gorman Alan Gray who beat Hawkhead 17-6 in the RBA semi final at Gourock Park last night.
Final is at Abercorn on Saturday 18th July 2.30pm start. Other semi finals in RBA being played this Friday when opponent will be known.
Gillian Wharton unfortunately lost her semi final in East Renfrewshire on Monday v Croftfoot at Neilston.
Better news yesterday as Aileen Hume and Gillian Wharton won their West of Scotland quarter final v Stamperland at Giffnock.

Had our first ever gents friendly v Woodlands on Saturday, the weather was not great but what a day we had, there would have been a lot of quiet people on Sunday!! Will post some pictures later in week, Eaglesham won 71-47.
Unfortunately in external games our gents only are involved in one county championship now, all the best to Peter Blair, Charlie Gorman and Alan Gray who play at Gourock tomorrow in Semi final v Hawkhead.
Parliamentary trophy on this Friday at Kingswood, teams picked and on board.
Some ties up this Friday in Vice Presidents, please play on time.
Busby friendly away on Saturday 27th June, sheet up for names, 6 triples required.

Bowls Scotland - G Wharton through to district final in Over 55 singles
M Craig F Norwood M MacNair J Connarty through to Over 55 fours final, these games will be at Rutherglen at 2pm on Thursday 18th June
Pairs, Triples and fours teams are out on Saturday in district Semi finals, we wish them all the best.

Not so good news for our gents, it's been a tough week
GBA - A Gray lost his quarter final game in singles v Thornliebank on Wednesday 21-20, was 20-16 up but couldn't get over line! All the best to Andy Hargan in Semi final.
Bowls Scotland - Triples of J Esslemont D Kerr T McDonald were defeated in district Semi final last night and our Over 55 fours also lost yesterday afternoon at Busby v Kingswood, not a great day.
RBA - Another sore defeat for our Sponsored fours team of D McClean J Price J McLean and J French who lost in an extra end v Pollokshaws.
Finally some good news, our triples of P Blair C Gorman and A Gray won against Wellcroft so play Semi final next week at Gourock v Hawkhead, all the very best.
We have 6 rinks out tonight in Local Tournaments, hopefully we can win a cup or two.
Tomorrow we play our first ever friendly v Woodlands, 2pm start, 5 triples, hopefully weather is dry.
Finally we are hosting Bowls Scotland Mixed Pairs on Sunday, 2pm start. Green will be closed to members 1-5pm

RBA resumes tomorrow with quarter final games at Barrhead, all the best to our triples Peter Blair Charlie Gorman and Alan Gray and our Sponsored fours Dave McClean John Price Jim McLean and Jim French.
GBA quarter final on Wednesday, all the best to Alan Gray who plays Thornliebank at Cardonald.
Thursday sees dist semi finals, at 2pm our Over 55 fours of Jim Esslemont David Baxter John Wardle and Alan Gray play Kingswood at Busby.
At 6.30pm our triples of Jim Esslemont David Kerr and Tom McDonald play Busby at Kingswood.
All the very best to everyone in their quest for silverware.
On Friday we have 6 rinks out playing in Local tournaments, hopefully we can bring back a cup or two.
On Saturday we have our first friendly v Woodlands at 2pm, weather meant to be glorious, hopefully everyone has successful week.

These two teams plus one other will represent the club in GBA Millennium triples starting on Wednesday 24 June.
Last night in RBA, successful night for our triples of Peter Blair, Charlie Gorman and Alan Gray who defeated Cathcart and our Sponsored fours team of David Dave McClean, John Price Jim McLean and Jim French who beat Giffnock.
Both teams play quarter finals next week at Barrhead v Wellcroft and Pollokshaws respectively.
In GBA singles tonight Alan Gray scraped through 21-18 v Kingswood at Clarkston, quarter finals next Wed at Cardonald.
Still awaiting news of our fours team who were playing at North British.
Bowls Scotland resumes tomorrow afternoon and night all the best to all our players.
Unsure of how ladies performed this week in external games, someone that knows can maybe post something.

Finally the World cup sweepstake sheets need to be handed behind bar by Wednesday 10th June at latest, you all must know someone that follows football ⚽
For anyone playing in RBA ties at Eaglesham tonight there will be no catering after the game, apologies for this but apparently per a vote it was decided nothing would be provided after the game, personally I think that's a shame but we will continue to provide catering for GBA and bowls Scotland games at club.
