You workout to get smaller…
You hammer the gym classes, stairmaster or running.
You avoid lifting too heavy.
You check your calorie burn after each workout.
Now, I’ve nothing against cardio.
Cardio is great.
And if you enjoy running or classes then you should keep doing them.
But if your goal is to have toned arms and legs,
If you want to see definition through your stomach,
If you want to have curves and shape in all the right places,
Then do what these clients above did.
All of the clients you see in this post are stronger in the after picture.
The one where they are leaner, more toned and have changed shape.
They followed a weight training gym programme and tracked their workouts.
And this was key in helping them get to where they wanted to be.
When in the gym think stronger not smaller 💪

Effort only works when it’s working on the right things,
This client above didn’t start in a bad place.
She’d already lost weight.
She went to the gym consistently.
She was working hard,
But things were feeling a bit stuck.
Workouts were feeling lacklustre and uninspired.
She had some stubborn fatty bits she couldn’t shift.
And what had once felt like regular progress now felt like she was just spinning her wheels.
And here is why,
Going from strong to stronger is not easy.
Going from lean to leaner is not easy.
And what worked before might not be what works now.
This girl needed a clear plan to get past her plateau.
She needed extra accountability to push through and stay consistent.
She needed support for when the self doubt started to creep in.
And when she had all of this, things started moving.
No more feeling frustrated and ‘meh’.
In 10 weeks she’s dropped 7lbs of body fat.
And her workouts are flying.
Awesome stuff 💯
If you’re interested in taking yourself to the next level and break out of whatever place you feel stuck in right now,

Same weight, different body.
Here’s the thing to realise about this…
Your dream body is about more than just summer fat loss.
Getting in shape for summer is an awesome goal.
It’s warmer outside.
Summer holidays are coming.
So working towards feeling better in your own skin without wanting to hide under a hoodie makes sense,
Wanting to go to the beach without feeling anxious about walking around in swim wear makes sense,
Wanting to chill and enjoy a BBQ beer or a poolside cocktail feeling relaxed and confident makes sense,
And I’ve saw this exact goal be the start point for many people.
Which is great.
But in the midst of all the 8 week shred plans,
Just remember that summer fat loss should not be the beginning AND end of your fitness journey.
Not if you want your dream body.
This feedback you see above is from my clients check in this week.
“The shape changes are so good”
She’s transformed beyond just summer fat loss.
More muscle added, more toned, different body shape, more confident.
She’s benefiting from having played the long game.
Short term goals are important,
But keep one eye on the bigger picture 💯

Summer might just be creeping in.

The body you want is not just about losing weight.
Yeah for many people stripping away body fat will be important.
Often very important.
And that will be the main focus to begin with.
That will mean the number on the scales will drop and the body will shrink.
But at a certain point you will realise you want more than that.
You realise it’s about looking in the mirror and seeing shape and definition in all the right places.
It’s about feeling strong lifting weights in the gym.
It’s about being fit enough to tackle those stairs without gasping for breath.
It’s about confidence in your body and in yourself.
And you realise the truth which is that it was always about more than just losing the pounds.
Even if losing the pounds is an important part of getting you there.
Yeah you’ll need to spend a while in a calorie deficit which means controlling your diet.
But you’ll also need to consider your lifestyle, your habits, your exercise routine and your mindset.
It all matters when it comes to achieving the body you want.

Nobody walks into the gym a pro.
Here are 5 mistakes I made when I first started:
1. Winging it in the gym.
I kind of just tried to copy what other people were doing but I mostly just bounced from exercise to exercise pretty aimlessly.
2. Trying to “just eat healthy”.
Good quality nutrition is important but I had no clue about energy balance, how many calories I should be eating or how to structure my diet. So I just relied on cutting out ‘bad’ foods and hoping that alone would work. It didn’t.
3. Wasting money on supplements that didn’t do anything.
Fat burners that burned a hole in my pocket and all they did was give me indigestion.
4. Comparing my progress to others.
While I don’t believe comparison is always the thief of joy, it is sometimes. Not to mention the fact that a lot of the guys I was comparing to had been training for 15+ years and/or were on steroids.
At the end of the day your journey is your journey. Comparing your phase 1 to someone else’s phase 20 makes no sense.
5. Struggled in silence. No accountability, no help, no clue.
I wasted so much time guessing and hoping. Didn’t want anyone to judge me because I didn’t know what I was doing or that I found this stuff hard at times.

You know what sucks?
Feeling like you’re trying but getting nowhere.
Like you’re putting in the effort but getting sweet FA in return.
That’s where Beth started.
When she reached out for help she was already hitting the gym 3 x per week.
She was already tracking her calories and she knew about a calorie deficit
But despite this – nothing changed.
Her body stayed the same, the scales wouldn’t budge and she was left thinking “what’s the point”.
So she got in touch,
And from here she went from months spent trying but getting nowhere,
To 15lbs dropped in 10 weeks.
Her body shape has changed more in those 10 weeks than it did in the 10 months before!
And do you know what’s pretty interesting?
She’s still been going to the gym 3 times per week.
She’s still been tracking her calories.
The difference is that these are now part of a structured programme.
She’s no longer just trying stuff and hoping something happens.
Rather than winging her workouts she now has a gym plan that is designed for her goals,
And she has guidance around how to progress with it.
Rather than just tracking calories she now has a proper nutrition plan,
Something that gives her better structure, achievable targets and total clarity around food choices.
Not to mention the support and accountability to stay consistent rather than cutting herself too much slack every time things get a little bit inconvenient or challenging.
So if you’re ready to stop trying and start changing just like Beth has.
