In what is definitely the biggest ‘coach returns in an interim position’ announcement of this week:
I’m really pleased to announce that Coach Natalie is back (temporarily 😢)to help us out during a busy period.
It’s an absolute delight getting to work with Natalie again and I know she’ll be cooking up some brutal workouts for clients💪

Changed out of my shorts for the day, a couple of weeks back to go and see fringe show.
10/10, hilarious. My stance on fighting dinosaurs remains the same though🫡

🚨New Coach Alert🚨
Introducing Dutch (RDR2 fans wya?)
Some of you have already met our handsome new coach but for those that haven’t:
Dutch is very new to the gym and still learning the ropes but he loves everyone and is excited to see every single client that comes in the door.
He’s joins our resident gym dog Darwin down here at AGfitness.
Dutch will help motivate you to get your workout done in exchange for attention and snacks.
When not at the gym he loves to run nonstop for hours and throw up on the carpet.
Everyone say Hi to dutchy!

A big part of our ethos has always been to make fitness inclusive and accessible.
With that in mind we have always provided a safe, positive space for people to come and get fit.
It feels more important than ever to readdress this right now as the trans community continues to be persecuted and used as a scapegoat by the government to distract from their own failures (austerity, escalating cost of living, wealth inequality, lack of housing to name just a few).
To continue on our message of making fitness accessible we’re offering a free 4 week block of strength training to trans and non binary participants.
We’ve funded 4 blocks of these 4 weeks ourselves, they are entirely free for participants. All I ask is that you show up for the sessions (please don’t take a spot from someone else if you aren’t going to attend).
To book your space please message via DM and let us know which block you would like to book onto:
Block 1 - 31st May, 7th June, 14th June, 21st June (1330-1430)
Block 2 - 28th June, 5th July, 12th July, 19th July (1330-1430)
Block 3 - dates TBC (August start date)
Block 4 - dates TBC (September start date)

A very personal post this one but recently i’ve had the pleasure of getting to train my own da.
At the end of 2024 he was unfortunately diagnosed with cancer. However being one of the most resilient people I know he approached this diagnosis in the exact same way he tackles anything in his life: head on with no fear.
Over the past few months he’s consistently worked hard (despite all the challenges life continued to throw at him) with one main goal: Get fitness levels up to help recover as quickly as possible.
Yesterday was our last session before his surgery.
I will forever be proud of how well he has dealt with this and all the hard work he’s put in.
Now go rest up and we’ll see you back in here in a couple of months 💪

Hello There
It’s been a wee while!
We’ve had a busy 12 months taking AGFitness through a transition period:
See, the reason I started working in fitness (over a decade ago now) is because I love fitness and helping people discover how fit and strong their body actually is.
But the bigger we grew, the less time I got to spend doing the fun part of the job (coaching clients) and instead spent more time in meetings and behind a laptop.
Throw in the increase in overheads from the cost of living crisis and greedy landlords and I’d have been as well just chucking it and getting a 9-5 office job.
So with all of that in mind we made two big changes:
After 8 years we moved from the unit we started out in (we didn’t go far, just across the car park) into a unit more suitable for what we need.
We sold our Southside gym. We really loved our time in the Southside and we were sad to go but it was the right decision to say goodbye. Stepping back to one gym has freed up so much more time for us all to work with clients. – I’m still working with a select number of 1-2-1 clients in the Southside (PM for more details)
We’re still here coaching and training. We’ll get back to more regularly scheduled updates of gym dogs shortly.
In the meantime, if you’re looking for a friendly, inclusive space to come and work on your fitness then click that link in the bio or drop us a wee message.

We’ve Moved!
Sorry we’ve been so quiet so far this year, we’ve been 𝗕𝗨𝗦𝗬!
We’ve been working on moving to a new location but don’t worry, we’ve not gone far.
We’re still in the same estate as our old location but now we’re in Block 3, Unit 5.
💪Same top tier training
💪Same knowledgable and friendly coaches
💪Same entry policy👀
We look forward to welcoming you all to our new home!

In light of the prime ministers disgusting, transphobic comments in parliament yesterday we want to take the opportunity to remind all of our followers that we continue to create a safe space to make exercise more accessible to the trans community.
We hold a zero tolerance approach to transphobia and discrimination of any kind. Fitness is for everyone and everyone should be allowed to feel comfortable in a gym environment.
The trans community need your support now more than ever. Check in with your friends and call out transphobia when you see it.
Last but not least, don’t vote Tory.

After nearly 5 years we said goodbye to coach last week as she embarks on an exciting new career path.
We wanted to thank Rosie for all her hard work and effort that she’s put in to coaching and making sure all of our clients get the highest level of service. (All whilst juggling her studies as well!)
We’re sad to see her go but wish Rosie the best of luck in her new job, you’ll smash it 💪
We’ll be announcing some new coaches who have joined the team recently over the next few days🎉

I know that you’re always told to not mix business and politics (not that I’ve ever really followed that rule anyway) but now is one of those situations where we all need to use our platforms and speak up for those who can’t.
A number of our coaches and clients attended the Palestine solidarity protest on Saturday to join thousands in calling for ceasefire & to stop the genocide of the Palestinian people.
Rishi Sunak & Keir starmer (amongst others) have repeatedly endorsed war crimes (no matter how many times Keith tries to backtrack and say he didn’t) and have the blood of thousands of innocents on their hands.
So I encourage you all to protest, write to your MPs, make noise and demand a ceasefire and peace.
We all have our part to play and can make a difference.
