Great career move to Hearts for "One Of Our Own" Calvin Miller and another badge for his future mural on our "wall of fame", as we're sure he'll gain Scotland caps in the very near future.

Should have been on the plane this year in our opinion👍

A product of Celtic’s youth system, he lived the dream and made his professional debut for Celtic in 2016. He made 5 first team appearances, playing in the back to back treble winning squads 2016/17 and 2017/18. The team never conceding a goal when in the side!! and also spent time on loan at Dundee and Ayr United.

He left Glasgow in 2020 and joined Harrowgate Town before racking up appearances for Notts County and Chesterfield.

Calvin returned to Scotland in January 2023 for a short spell at Morton, and then signed for Falkirk.

Has been an integral part of Falkirks rise over the past couple of years and had an outstanding last season, helping take them into the top 6.

Good luck Calvin ..You've came a long way from kicking a ball at Barlia as a kid ⚽

We're all very proud of you 💜

A great weekend for Castlemilk Community FC 🏆🏆
The Saturday squad lifted the Caledonian League 1st Division before joining the WOSFL next season and the Sunday squad won the GDSFC Champions Cup before starting their Saturday morning journey.

Well done to both squads who always play with flair and have been more than a match with any teams in their respective leagues, regions and across the country over the past season. We are looking forward to the new challenges faced by both squads.. We're sure they will both be up to the task.

A special mention to
CCFC Under 18s ..who won the league this year but failed to win the divisional cup on Sunday.. they will now form the WOSFL under 20 development squad.

Lastly Castlemilk FA who narrowly lost out on winning the GDSFC 3rd Division on the final day.

We'll celebrate both CCFC title and Champions Cup wins over the weekend in another post.

Nice touch from the Sunday squad today..in memory of "One Of Our Own" Alex Watt before todays match where a minutes silence took place before the cup final with Alex's dad in attendance.

A brilliant team mate and friend of many players from both squads over the years. A guy who played for his schools and numerous community teams, five a sides, or just a kick about throughout his life time. Play anywhere would Alex.. even in goals!!!

A great guy who will be missed by the footballing and wider community. Sadly he'll never know how much he was loved by so many.

Thoughts and prayers to all his family and friends 💔

May he Rest In Peace.

Dougrie Road's, Jim McInally popped in for a visit to Barlia today with his family to see his portrait and to pick up his One Of Our Own glass momento.

A Dundee Utd legend who played in their 1994 Scottish Cup win against Rangers after losing 3 other Hampden SC finals.

Also a key member of their team who were narrowly beaten over 2 legs by Gothenburg in the UEFA Cup final in 1987....Beating Barcelona twice en route!!

Jim made only a couple of first team appearances at Celtic after coming through the youth ranks and moved to Nottingham Forrest after a loan spell at Dundee.. signed by Brian Clough he was their player of the year in 1985.

10 caps for the national team, he played against CIS (Russia) in the 1992 Euro championships in Sweden.

Played for a number of other clubs, then became coach and manager..winning second division with Morton in 2007 then most recently at Peterhead where he won the Second division title in 2014 and 2018.

Also brother of CCFT board member Paul.
