Aimed at Glasgow guys who want to do 'Manly stuff'
Based around 3 training sessions a week, focusing on strength (strongman sessions), plus speed and conditioning work. Want a fitness programme?
Google it.

Diet advice?
Google it.

Make more money?
There are a million videos on it.

Relationships?
Ask ChatGPT.

Information isnโ€™t really the issue anymore.

And honestlyโ€ฆ

Most of it still ends up being done alone.

Even online coaching is usually:

โ€œGo do this.โ€
โ€œCheck back in next week.โ€

But men need more than information.

They need community.
A solid team around them.
Good cu@ts
Shared experiences.
Something real.

Somewhere to celebrate wins.
Somewhere to get support when life gets hard.
Somewhere to actually DO things again.

Not just another night in the pub.
Not another networking event listening to someone talk sh*te for an hour.

Real-world experiences.
Action-based adventures.
Learning new skills.
Trying things youโ€™d probably never do on your own.

And maybe most importantlyโ€ฆ

A place where youโ€™re not always:

the boss,
the provider,
the decision maker,
the one carrying everything.

A place where you can just be one of the boys again.

Most men donโ€™t need another programme.

Another stupid challenge.
Another โ€œDM me to transform your life.โ€
Another bloke online telling them how to optimise every minute of the day.

Blah blah blah.

Most men already know what they โ€œshouldโ€ be doingโ€ฆ
if theyโ€™re not already doing it.

Whatโ€™s actually missing is:
community,
a group of good c*nts,
proper conversations,
new experiences,
and something to genuinely look forward to again.

Thatโ€™s what Growth Collective is about.

Not sitting in a room forcing awkward chat.
Not another generic networking event.
Not pretending to have life figured out.

Just good men doing worthwhile things together.

Walks.
Training.
Coffee.
Learning new skills.
Trying random ideas that become brilliant memories.

Actually creating stories again instead of repeating the same Groundhog Week over and over.

A place where you can:
share wins,
get support when life gets hard,
bring your own experience to the table,
and just be part of something solid.

No pressure.
No pretending.
No โ€œyou must do this.โ€

Just:
more life,

Whether youโ€™re trying to lose weight or drop body fat while keeping lean muscle, you need to be in a calorie deficit.
The approach might differ slightly depending on your goalโ€”but that fact stays the same.

Tracking your calories is simple.
And itโ€™s not as much of a pain in the arse or time consuming as you probably think.
(And noโ€”you donโ€™t have to do it forever. Thatโ€™s a post for another day.)

Hereโ€™s a real-life example from this morning:

I usually have two breakfasts:

A protein-based snack before the gym
Then an egg salad post-session
That second breakfast normally includes 4 boiled eggs.

Today I thought:
What if I just used the whites and ditched the yolks?

Hereโ€™s the difference:

Calories
Before: 357 kcal
After (just the whites): 113 kcal
โœ… Thatโ€™s a 244 kcal difference

Enjoyment
Honestly? I didnโ€™t really notice the yolks were gone.
Appetite
Still felt full, same as usual.
If I changed nothing else, that tiny tweak saves 1220 calories over 5 days.

That could mean:

Faster fat loss
OR
More room to eat something else later in the day
Once you know your calorie target (loads of ways to figure it out online), you can plan meals around it.

Wee changes lead to big differences.
Go for the easy wins.

You might say (most people do) you want to lose weight, get in shape, or tone up.
Fair enough โ€” those are goals.
But if youโ€™re honest with yourself, thatโ€™s probably not the real reason youโ€™re here.

What you actually want?

๐Ÿ’ฅ Positively walk into any room โ€” not be a dick, just feel confident in yourself again
๐Ÿ’ฅ To look in the mirror and not hate what you see โ€” or squeeze into clothes that donโ€™t fit
๐Ÿ’ฅ To have energy for the good stuff: time with your kids, your hobbies, your partner, in bed (yes โ€” that too)

Those are the real wins.
Thatโ€™s what weโ€™re going to build.

Because when your training fits your life...
When your nutrition doesnโ€™t feel like punishment...
When you do the work,Monday to Friday, but hate it then blow it all at the weekendโ€ฆ

Create a plan that finally clicks.
That you enjoy and easily fits into your life
That brings awesome results, that actually stick.

Valentineโ€™s Day is tomorrow and whether youโ€™re celebrating with someone special or just treating yourself, good food makes everything better.
