Congratulations to all of our junior gradees on their recent promotion! 🥋💪

As part of Milngavie week, we’re holding an open night in Milngavie Town Hall from 7pm - 9:30pm on Tuesday 9 June.

Come along and see us in action. If you've ever wanted to give martial arts a try but you're not sure what to expect, this is a great chance to get a taste of what we do.

We're a not-for-profit, inclusive, accessible and community focussed martial arts club, and this year we're celebrating our 40th birthday. Our motto is self-defence skills for all, come and join us! 👊

We held an adult kyu grading on Wednesday night and we’re delighted to announce six new grades.

In their first grading Arran, Felix, and Carter all earned their red belts whilst Tony achieved his yellow belt. Two more experienced members also graded, with Louise moving up to blue belt and Daniel earning his brown belt.

Well done everyone on your well deserved new belts. And for the first timers, welcome to your first traditional BMAC celebration photo!

On Saturday 23 May we had a training day in Milngavie Town Hall. Lots of different lessons and then an intense grading saw Rachel earn her 1st Dan black belt!

We’re back in action this week after the Easter break with our regular class schedule. Come and join us!

With the Easter school holidays, our junior classes are off for the next two weeks. We still have our adult classes on Tuesday 7 and 14 April, at Milngavie Townhall.

Enjoy the break, don’t eat too many Easter eggs and we’ll see you all when our regular schedule resumes on Tuesday 21 April. 🐣

We’re absolutely delighted that our 40th birthday has been recognised with a Scottish Parliament motion. Everyone involved with BMAC is very proud of the club, our efforts to make martial arts as accessible as possible, and our fundraising for good causes.

A big thank you to our local MSP Marie McNair MSP for raising the motion and supporting the club.

2026 is a special year for BMAC — we’re celebrating our 40th birthday! Four decades of training and sharing martial arts with hundreds of children and adults across Bearsden, Milngavie, and beyond.

We reckon our team of instructors brings together over 200 years of combined martial arts experience…and we’re still learning and striving to be even better.

Later this year, we’ll be marking this milestone with a special celebration, so keep an eye out for details. And yes — there will be cake 🎂
