Free 8-week strength programme for women
Thanks to the Get Active Glasgow Fund, we’re launching a small, supportive programme for women who are new to exercise, lacking confidence or getting back after time away from it

What an amazing test day we had on Saturday! Some BIG numbers going up, think some surprised even themselves - plus the progression in technique makes us very proud coaches.
It really shows the hard work and dedication that our lifters have put in over this block 💪

We’re proud to share that we’ve officially launched MTN Barbell Pathway CIC 🏋️♀️
The CIC has been created to build a long-term pathway into strength training and weightlifting within our community, supporting both young people and adults to develop confidence, skills, and a positive relationship with physical activity.
We’re thrilled to announce that MTN Barbell Pathway CIC has received support from the Get Active Glasgow Fund.
This funding will help us deliver our first phase of programmes, focused on supporting women who are new to exercise, returning after time away, or lacking confidence to get started, through structured and supportive strength training.

⚡️ WE’RE HIRING – WEIGHTLIFTING CLUB COACH ⚡️
MTN Barbell Club is expanding and we’re looking for an experienced coach to join our team
Required:
• British Weightlifting Level 2 qualification
• Experience coaching Olympic weightlifting in a club environment
• Strong technical eye and confident coaching groups
Sessions:
🏋️♀️Thursday evening
🏋️♀️Saturday afternoon
-This is a structured, coaching-led club environment
-Sessions are coached, not supervised
-We follow progressive programming and maintain high standards in technique, safety and consistency
-You’ll be working within an established coaching team and club system, developing lifters properly over time
