Strollers 2015s

Reds played away from home on Saturday but they just made a short trip up the road to warout playing fields to play Glenrothes FCC

The boys played well, there was good passing, playing it up the field, getting the ball crossed and scoring goals

The defending was great too, everyone getting back. Efforts from Finn in goals were also in point

Strollers vs AM Soccer

A hard game for the team last Saturday, struggling at times to get to grips with the football but when it clicked it was good

Frustrating for everyone especially after the way the boys had been doing great footwork and ball control throughout training

In a very hot night the boys ran there socks off passing and moving

With the heat both sides decided best play three 15 minute which helped the game but you could see the boys getting tired and with amount running they did it was to be expected

Overall the team were solid in the tackle, well done boys

Blacks vs Am Soccer 16/5/26

The game got off to a flyer with some really nice quick passing and with the AM keeper playing a very high line the team passed there way round them. The team played well giving the coaches the chance to try players going in to different positions

The boys switched off near the end of the first half and got caught out a few times but Harris was able to help the team out with some great saves. The second half the team started off fast again and it was great to see but then like the first half they sort of lost their way in the middle of the game only to spark back into life

Great game at Over Stenton Park on Saturday morning for the Reds, after missing out in their game the weekend before we were finally back in action after a couple of great festivals

Started well with some passing and moving & with some great play we were unlucky at times

We then lost ourselves a bit & switched off allowing our opponents take advantage for a bit but then we picked up again and started winning the ball and playing some beautiful football. Great passages of play at times and it was magic to see

Nice to have Henry back after his injury ❤️ 🖤

Strollers Blacks vs Athletic

Tough game mid week for the boys were we had a slow start, giving us an up hill battle from the start but when the boys started playing with crisp and accurate passing we looked good

Athletic keeper pulled of some great saves from Marty Jenson Isaac Nolan and Kayden

Was great to have Rudy back from injury 👍🏼

Blacks vs Raith Rovers last week on the road

Well where to start what a game right from the off the team were on it. Let’s start from the back and work our way forward.

Harris had little work to do today but was completely focused throughout the game and even when he was called into action was full of confidence commanding his box and defence pulled off what can only be said as the save of the game looked like a goal all the way but Harris through himself full stretch to get a full hand on the ball to push it round the post.

Defensively the team was so strong Riley has a new name octopus legs he got his legs in to positions to get to the ball when it looked like they were clean through

Ollie were to start, he commanded the full defensive area like a pro he was strong and composed on the ball making lung busting runs to swing in a few great crosses

Cas slotted into defence seamlessly great in the tackle and his passing was spot on either going outside to the wingers or playing it in centrally to the midfielder, has to be said there was not much getting passed any three of the boys today.

The midfield 4 today were excellent will start with the 3 OG players Marty Isaac and Nolan must have covered every blade on the pitch today, their passing was on point with each of them scoring and assisting Marty found his shooting boots today and was very unlucky not to get more with some great passing and a half volley which was passed the keeper before he knew it but it came thundering back of the cross bar. There was a small debate on Issac’s goal as it was a great cross from Jenson that went over the keeper for Isaac to score but instead of hitting it first time with his right he stopped it and then score with his left did Issac give himself an assist or Jenson 😂😂😂

Nolan controlled the centre of the park like a boss passing forward, back and out wide like a pro quick to close down was great to watch

Kayden D ran his heart out and didn’t look out of place very unlucky with two quick snap shots that tested the keeper quick in the press and always available for the simple pass back too played the position in the middle very well

Last but by no means least Jenson he was busy from the start closing down the defence quickly making them make slack passes. Running the channels to create spaces for the wingers and midfield to run into

All in all the boys were fantastic today
